The sconce measures 12-1/2" long and is 6-1/4" at its tallest part. The platforms are two different sizes. The larger of the two has an inside diameter of 4-3/4" and the smaller one has an inside diameter of 3-1/2" The wall bracket measures 5-1/2" x 2" at its widest part. Vintage oil lamp set with lovely pink glass bowl. 8.5" globe, 8" glass reflector, cast iron bracket holder and wall attachment piece. The 8" mercury glass reflector is in fine condition. Bowl and globe together are approximately 12" tall. I do not know the manufacturer or exact age of this piece. It came from a farm in Wisconsin where it had hung for many years in the kitchen. Awesome antique cast iron hanging parlor lamp frame/part Originally designed to hold an oil lamp(I think) It looks like someone had converted it to an electrical light many decades ago, as there is a socket in the"bowl" part that has cloth cord/wiring pieces attached to it and a hole on the side of the bowl for the wire to go through; these wires were snipped off since then and it looks like it wouldn't be too difficult to remove the socket piece to revert it back to an oil lamp holder Smaller in size than some of these old frames you see. It measures approx. 15" long and 7" across; probably designed to hold a smaller lamp-the bowl is just under 3" across at the top, narrowing down to just under 2" across as the bottom The iron is ornate and looks Art Nouveau in style. And the bowl piece was painted? a copper ... morecolor; the rest of it is more of a grey color, with what looks kind of like brass tones showing through in places; there's a small hanging hook at the top on the inside part as well as the top hanging ring, so you could easily turn this into some other type of hanging décor piece for your antique home or garden This piece is very old. Vintage Cast Iron Oil Lamp Bracket with Reflector Spindle; broken mount
For auction is a vintage cast iron oil lamp bracket. The spindle that would go into the wall mounted bracket(not included) is broken off. There is a spindle in the middle of the item where the reflector glass would mount. I used this spindle to hang the bracket. The ring that hold the lamp is attached with a screw to the bracket so it can be put on up-side down to us the entire bracket up-side down. The reflector spindle is in the middle of the bracket so if you are using this method to hang the bracket it has to go on the side of a window and hang out into the window area. The bracket is 12" long by 5-1/2" wide. If you mount using the reflector spindle the bracket will hang out 9" Please feel free to ask questions and I will post more pics if requested.
