THIS IS 3 OF 3) This listing is for a very nice antique Holophane hanging pendant light. This is an all original fixture. As you can see in the pictures we have 3 matching fixtures all of which are identical. Th e lamp shade is signed in the rim as you can see in the last 2 pictures. It says Holophane 2140 March 19. 1918. Th is is the real deal. This lamp would have hung in an early American factory o r maybe even in a shopping mall. When this glass is lit up it looks li ke a giant crystal. The glass is free from any chips or cracks. The glass lamp shade is 2 parts and hel d together by the original 4 nickle plated brass Holophane clips. This is a large lamp ... morewith a 14" diameter. Vtg. Antique- Lg. School House -Industrial Ceiling Fixture Light - Milk ? Glass
Offered is a great old ceiling mount fixture. I know its definately Vintage, Possibally antique but not sure. It's like a school house or industrial style, Has a large white glass globe, that I think would be a milk glass, The globe alone measures 16" across center, 10" deep or tall and the opening including its lip is 6" across center, when placed on metal Holder/ Fixture it hangs down approx. 14" from ceiling. Its Holder is a bit unique from most, instead of having screws that hold on the glass it has a colar with clips, once collar is off, you slip the globe on and then the colar goes over 2 tabs and you twist the colar to lock on the globe. The holder looks to me to be a sorta brushed aluminum and the colar I think is either a thicker aluminum or steel possibally. The Glass is in very nice condition with no cracks, ... morehas some tiny knicks on glass right around the opening on lip. The metal holder shows age of scratches and spotting(nothing major) but you could always paint it if you wanted it to look newer. Its a tiny bit indented where screws went, most likely from over tightening it a bit and the area that fits right up to ceiling has a round hole which I think may have had either a switch or pull type chain at some point coming out of it but it must have been removed.Its works fine and the socket is porcelain. Vintage large art deco brass school store industrial ceiling light fixture
For sale is a vintage 1930 1940 school house industrial ceiling light fixture pendant light. The fixture hangs down from the ceiling about 50 inches. It could be easily shortened by taking out links in chain and shortening wire or it can be extended down further for those who have very high ceilings since there is another additional 32 inches of wire that extends past the canopy. Just add the desired length of links and you won't have to rewire since the extra wire is already attached. It has a great art deco milk glass shade that measures about 9 inches tall and about 12 inches wide at widest part. It has a six inch opening and is in great shape without any cracks and only minor flea bites along the edge of opening(see pictures) Very minor and does not interfere with the beauty of function of item since it fits inside the shade holder ... moreand is not seen. The shade holder and canopy are solid brass with a shiny finish(I don't think it is lacquered and will age to a beautiful antique brass finish over time. The fixture is in excellent working order with new wiring and a new porcelain bulb holder. It is very large with over all height being 13 1/2" from ceiling to bottom of light, and the bottom of the glass part being about 12" across. It has the ceiling mount(which was painted a gold color and might want to strip or repaint) short chain then the large beehive style white milk glass globe and then the chrome/ aluminum ring that slips down over the globe. This can be used with the ring or without. It is in great condition with just some normal wear to the aluminum ring and the mount could be repainted if desired but the glass globe/ shade is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The glass shade is all intact with no cracks or chips. Benjamin is a beautiful green. Porcelain painted, antique shop light. It has been salvaged and fitted with a period correct shade fitter, an NOS Leviton socket and NOS vintage cloth-wrapped, heat proof cord with a plug. This industrial. Workshop type light is super. It has been recently wired. Because of that notice the bell that had a place for a paddle switch no longer does. The light has a 30" drop. That can be shortened by removing some chain links. 2 holophane hanging light fixtures in perfect working condition. They hang down 30" the shades measure 9" tall 11" wide 200w max light bulb. Both of them have very tiny chips on the upper piece of glass and a small scuff on one of the lower pieces you can see it on the pic of the front view, the aluminum rings that hold the shades together have some dent on them, to save on shipping I removed the long pipe its very easy to reinstall just screw it back in and tighten by hand and then tighten the Allen screw. Antique Vintage Lighting Industrial Aluminum Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture 30's
Description This listing is for a set of 10(ten) 1930's Vintage Light Fixtures. They were made by Curtis Lighting out of Chicago. As you can tell by the pictures. Everything that is in the picture is what you will be receiving. These fixtures are aluminum and in great shape to be from the 30's. They originally came out of a 2-story department store and have been sitting in the second story of this store ever since they replaced the lighting with florescent lights. The fixtures have been in the same store the entire time and very well cared for all these years. I have 10 of the actual large round light fixtures which if you look closely at the 10th picture. You can tell there is a gap on the under side which allows light to be reflected onto the ceiling. There may be some small area's with a few tiny rust spots, but not very noticeable ... moreas you can tell by the pictures. There are four layers and a shiny top which adds to the look of the fixture itself. These measure from the base to the tip of the top approximately 8 1/2 inches. The diameter measuring from the bottom outer edge is approximately 21 3/8" wide. I have 6 of the cone shaped pieces that fit into the larger round fixture itself. They have 3 longer pieces that attach onto the cone. At the bottom of these. There is a prong which simply slips into the fixture. I am missing one of the longer pieces which attach to the cone, however, you could easily make one yourself. As you can tell by the pictures, one of them is even held on by a screw(which could be cut down more flush to make it not as noticeable) Hanging from the ceiling-it would not be noticeable at all. These measure 12 3/4" measuring from the ground standing on the 3 prongs to the tip of the cone. The cone itself measures 8 3/4" and the diameter of the smaller hole on the top of the cone measures 3/4" The widest part of the cone at the bottom measures 3 3/16" I have 6 of the ceiling fixtures that attach to the top of the ceiling. This vintage industrial fixture has the standard Holophane prismatic glass shade and a rare exterior fiberglass shade cover that fits over the prismatic glass difuser shade to cover it and focus the light downward. The vintage industrial Holophane hanging light dates from around the 1950's to the 1960's. It has a reflective flat glass cover with a center hole that is secured onto the bottom of the globe. Minor chipping on lip edge and inside around bulb channel. One black mark I cant seem to get out. Measures 16" round and 11" tall to top of ceiling mounting flange. Can be lengthened. Large Art Deco Industrial Diner Milk Glass Shade Ceiling Fixture
The fixture is probably pot metal that was plated with copper. It is worn and distressed. But I have left it alone, as it looks interesting and this sort of shabby appearance can compliment some decors. Otherwise, it's easily spray painted. The screws attaching the shade to the piece are new and gold colored, but I've left them alone to leave these aesthetic decisions up to buyer as well. It comes installed with a brand new socket, replacing an old, loose one with dangerous frayed wiring. I have given the shade just the briefest wipe down since it's large and fairly rare and I don't want to tempt fate. So there is a bit of detritus inside of it- see photo#12. It has some bubble marks(see photo# 5) that seem to be part of the glass itself, but is otherwise in very nice shape. The fixture is 4 3/4" high and 5 5/8" ... morewide with a 4 3/8" fitter. The shade is about 7 3/4" 8" high and about 8" wide. With fluted milk glass sides and an intricate clear glass bottom. The shade has a 3 7/8" fitter that goes easily into the fixture; please be sure that it is firmly and evenly in place and tighten the screws down completely to ensure that the glass does not slip out of the fixture when mounted. I acquired this great wall light from an industrial demolition site a couple of years ago. The light housing is cast aluminum and should polish up quite nicely. I have this light and one that is slightly larger. This light was designed for wall use. But it should look great attached to the ceiling as well. Art Deco Industrial Steampunk Ceiling Fixture Glass Shade W/ New Socket
Old pre WWII ceiling fixture with a great patina and a new socket with fresh wiring. Protrudes 3 1/4" from the ceiling. 6" across at the widest point with an approximately 3 3/8" fitter which is slightly bent(please see photo#5) that won't really show when the fixture is mounted. Has some small dings and dents which doesn't necessarily detract from the overall feel of the piece. The shade is light brown or champagne colored. With a bumpy texture and nice beaded details. It is enclosed on top- picture#6 shows the fitter end and#7 shows the top. It has a 3 1/4" fitter and is 5 1/2" high. When assembled.
