The chain is new and has a factory aluminum color. The ceiling canopy was sanded and repainted and is from the same era. There is a very nice cream with a silver color pattern from top to bottom. There are two new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 21 and 29 inches from the ceiling. This measures overall approximately 6" from the very top that fits against the ceiling to the bottom of the globe. Offered is a Vintage Mid Century Double Light Swag Ceiling Fixture. Each glass globe measures approx. 8” across at the widest point(about the size of a soccer ball) There is approx. 4 ½ feet of chain on each fixture to allow for hanging and swag. One of the three thumb screws that hold the globe in place is missing. The globe is still firmly intact. Depending upon the hardware currently on your existing fixture. For auction is this vintage Art Deco ART DECO Hobnail Glass Ceiling Light Shade with three holes for mounting. The color of this light shade is light Tan/Peach No makers mark Description A combination of clear and light tan glass Hobnail glass around the crown and the rim. It measures approximately 4" tall on the outside(3-1/2" deep on the inside) 10" in diameter at the rim, and 3-3/4" in diameter at the crown The mounting holes are 7" apart(center to center) The crown does not have a hole in it. It is made to be connected by the three drilled holes around the rim. No chips. Cracks or crazing to the shade. Two of the three mounting holes have chips on the inside. It has a carved wood center piece with brass fittings on the top and bottom and a round clear hobnail glass piece in its center. A decorative rod iron bar that goes out to each side to hold a lamp. The lamps are each two pieces of hobnail glass, a somewhat funnel shape on the top with a scallop edge and round on the bottom. It also has a ceiling plate that has a brass ring for the chain and cord. The entire piece measures 14" x 11" It does need some minor touch up including attaching a cord to the one that was cut off, but other then maybe a little paint if you even wanted to, it is absolutely stunning and in great condition for its age. Vintage Matched Pair Brass and Hobnail Milk Glass Globe Ceiling Lights. The tag on the bottom states they were made by Thomas Industries Inc. Underwriters Laboratories Inc. I am not sure on age but I will tell you that they were rescued from a 100 year old Victorian Home here in Pittsburg. Kansas. They were originally mounted in a ceiling but they would also look great mounted on the top of some decorative columns. It is very rare that these survived intact for all these years. They are in Near Perfect Condition with No Damage Noted. I would rate them a solid 9.5 out of 10. They are about 13 inches tall and 9 inches around. I forgot to measure them prior to packing them up for shipment) They have been packed up insanely well but will also be insured for value should anything happen to them in shipping.
