Albion Antiek Antique Bell Jar Lantern 19th. Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century glass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is ... morejust the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the surface and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. It is decorative with its polychrome paint and amber slag glass panes. As far as I know everything except the wiring is original. I know that the wiring is not because I changed it. The bulb socket is original and it works well. The lamp is 5x5 inches at the top and 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches at the bottom. From the pendant at the bottom to the hanging ring it is 11 1/2 inches. Needs refurbished! Has the original asbestos coated wire. Screws for shade are rusted and not loose enough to turn with fingers so I didn't want to forced them. Buyer can. VINTAGE 1920's 1930's FLUSH BRASS FROSTED EMBOSSED GLASS SHADE HANGING HALL LIGHT FIXTURE A very lovely old. 1920's to 1930's, hanging light fixture that would be used in a hallway, foyer, or small room. It is a brass fixture with a glass shade and has a dangling finial at the bottom. The glass shade is frosted with areas with flowers, and leaves, that are clear. It still has the old porcelain socket and wiring, but I don't know if it will work because I haven't tried it(I don't see why it wouldn't) This fixture will hang down from the ceiling approximately 11" to the bottom of the dangling finial) and the ceiling cap is about 5 5/8" in diameter. It is in very good condition with no bends or breaks to the brass and no chips or cracks to the glass. ANTIQUE 1920's MEDIEVAL GOTHIC 3 Matching VINTAGE HANGING BRASS HALL LIGHT FIXTURES A matching set of 3. Antique 1920's, hanging light fixtures with a Gothic or Medieval appearance. They are made from solid brass and have a hammered and riveted design to almost all the parts(even the piece that holds the candle cover in place) They are all electric, take standard size bulbs, and appear to have the original(very old) wiring. Each Fixture measures approximately 18" high x 5 5/8" in diameter(of the large circle saucer) x 7 3/8" across the handles on the saucer. These fixtures look to be in good condition with no breaks, cracks, or repairs to the brass. All three are missing their smoke bells that would hang down in the middle. There is some wear to the finish on the brass with minor spots, or speckling, of white paint(not ... morenoticeable) All parts look original. One has some bending the the louvers on the bottom(see photo) The cardboard candle covers need to be replaced because they have holes, tears, and soiling. The old wiring should be replaced. A lovely Hanging Chandelier. 5 arm long and slender. It is 28" from bottom to bottom of ceiling cap. The hook adds 3" to that, it has a 21" span from center socket to center socket. It is 13" from the top of the globe to the bottom of the ceiling cap. I could not find any markings on it. Came from a century home and appears to be Arts Deco Era, 1920's- 1930's. It does show some minor gold loss and light pitting as pictured. It is missing two of the caps to hold the globes in place. Will need to be professionally re-wired.
