Rare to find this glass still and especially in this condition. The frame is of a cast metal and heavier metal at that. It has been cleaned and r estored to a medium gold. And oil rubbed to enhance the details of the frame. The brass turn switch has been replaced with a new one and the socket and wiring also. The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. The wattage of 60 or less is recomm ended. Especially for the presentation of the color of the shade. This glass is very special and made with uranium in it, so when under b lack light it glows. Rare to find this glass still and especially in this condition. The frame is of a cast metal and heavier metal at that. It has been cleaned and r estored to a medium gold. And oil rubbed to enhance the details of the frame. The brass turn switch has been replaced with a new one and the socket and wiring also. The bulb it would take is a standard size bulb that w ith a regular base. 1930's Art Deco Glass Slip Shade Chandelier Pendant Light Fixture Lincoln Era
Do you have a lighting fixture that works but is lacking in style? It's time to upgrade- with this beautiful and rare Art Deco slip shade chandelier! Three frosted glass shades with a classic Art Deco design slide into a bronze finished six-sided chandelier frame decorated in a stylized floral and geometric pattern. On the bottom of the chandelier hangs a large pendant. The chandelier has three light sockets with their original wiring(still in good shape) that rise up through a central stem to a great"Levolier" in-line pull switch before ending in the original copper colored ceilingcanopy. The ceiling mount assembly even has its original mounting hardware so it's ready to go! There's no manufacturer name on the chandelier(as is the case with most chandeliers) But"B 57" is stamped in three places. We know that ... morea company called Lincoln made many of these but we can't be certain about this one. We're not sure what the base metal is, but it has a bronze patina and a magnet doesn't stick to it. Aside from its compact shape that allows this chandelier to be installed in a hallway, Kitchen, covered porch, foyer, office, breakfast room, bedroom, etc. what makes it special is that it can easily be disassembled for maintenance or repair AND comes with its three original shades! Antique and vintage lighting fixtures with a missing shade or ones with big cracks or other damage are quite common on eBay. But this chandelier- which is likely 80+ years old- has its original trio of shades, which contain only the inherent imperfections that occurred in the manufacturing process. There are no repairs or breakage anywhere on this chandelier! Nice large five light Markel glass slip shade flush mount ceiling chandelier from the 1930s. Restored and has a beautiful copper finish with a satin sealer. The fixture, all parts and the sockets have been cleaned restored and rewired. Everything works well and looks beautiful. The glass shades slip firm and snug in the slots of the mixed metal frame which is on the heavy side along with the ceiling canopy. The glass is in very good condition without cracks, and minor chipping around the fitters, with a flea bite on the side of one of the shades not noticable but for description purposes. For the age they are great. This is such a great fixture for low ceilings and so much light can be produced from this chandelier with the five medium base sockets. Markel Art Deco Craftsman Peach 30s Glass Slip shade 3 light Fixture Chandelier
There are many choices in lighting. What is great about these Antique light fixtures is the quality that was in mind when made. This is a Markel made in the USA from the 30s. It has been cleaned and color matched with a nice antique gold. The frame is a medium weight solid mixed metal that will last another 100 years and the sockets have been cleaned and rewired. They are copper and much better quality than what is out there to replace them. The chain may have some paint nicks. But nothing noticeable and for description purposes only. The fixture hang is 35 1/2 inches with the finial and we can shorten that for you if requested. There is plenty of lead wire to add chain also. The fixture body is 15 1/2 inches and the fixture without the shades is 12 inch width when the shades are installed the width is 14 inches. The glass is in great condition ... morefor the age, a peach with a pearl. There is some paint wear on some if the edges of the glass and this is hidden when installed. Up for auction is a gorgeous and rare set of 2 original vintage working wall sconces from the Art Deco period. According to our research. This series of Art Deco lights was made by Lincoln Mfg of Detroit, MI, circa 1935, a key year in the height of the slip shade lighting era. Lincoln named this the" Fleurette Group" These sconce comes with pale pink frosted glass slip shades featuring a floral design. They set is in excellent condition and has a gold color to the sconce with pale pinkish glass slip shade. Sconce could be fairly easily polished to silver. These lights have been re-wired and are able to be plugged individually into a 110 wall outlet. We always recommend that you have an electrician verify the safety on items like this, though, as we did NOT do the re-wiring. But we have used them and they work fine. Antique 5-Light Slip Shade Chandelier This beautiful early 20th century chandelier has been in storage since 1969. It has been attributed to the Lincoln company. But we have not found a maker mark. All original pieces are present. There has been no restoration or repair found. We can find no damage. It was stored with the shades removed. It was vacuumed and one shade was put in place for photos. We did not try to insert all shades into the fixture. Aluminum with painted and/or flash-plated accents. Original five glass Slip shades of an amber or peach color. All shades are undamaged except for a few chips in the mounting flange which will not show when the shades are in place. Original canopy. But, each has some staining and wear from age. There are no chips or cracks-only minor flea bites along the top rim. They look and displays very well when hung. The fixture measures about 19 inches in diameter and is good condition with no chips or cracks. There is an aged patina and a distress look to the fixture. The body and canopy are in very good condition and have a nice bronze appearance. A very nice 1930s slip shade chandelier with an aged look. Not for the buyer looking for perfection. There are five new porcelain sockets pictured with 60 watt bulbs along with all new wiring. This amazing light fixture can be adjusted to hang between 25 and 27 inches from the ceiling. Gorgeous Alwyn and Crown fixture for slip shade(shades not included) This chandelier has a gorgeous filigreed pressed-glass center with a three-bulb interior and a copper-colored metal canopy. It will take 5 slip shades. The dimensions of each slip shade opening are 2" at the bottom and 5: high along each side of the opening. Heavy! Painted cast iron in gold and red; original paint in great condition. Although these are also easy to re-paint if desired. I think these slip shades are from the 1920-30 era. Last 3 photos show chips. One of the shades has a larger chip on the bottom part(photo 10) that is 3/4 inch long. That same shade has tiny chips on the edges(see last photo) The other shade has the chipping that is shown on 11th photo. No other cracks or repairs. See photos to see measurements.
