Up for auction a nice vintage Art Deco theater sign round EXIT light made of red ruby glass! It comes with complete aluminum parts. The round ruby glass is 6 1/2" diameter by itself and is marked Kopp Glass. The larger aluminum part going to the wall is 8" diameter. The word EXIT has been repaint with solid white enamel paint in the old style. The condition is good. No cracks or chips. I have another similar Exit light for sale. Possible to combine for shipping. Antique EXIT Ruby Red Glass Shade -Vintage
Beautiful vintage deep red glass exit shade. Made by the Rodefer-Gleason Company around the late 50's under contract for NYC public schools. A dealer stated they are hand-blown glass which is not really typical for exit signs from this age making them a bit more unique. This shade was never used and found in its original packaging. It is in mint condition. I was told they were shipped to be used as replacements if an old exit lamp shade was to break around the school building. There are many other exit shades in the last picture so if you see one you like. Or need more than one, let me know and I can list it for you. This listing is only for the shade you see in the main picture but I can probably substitute with one on the photo. These are a little more unique than some other exit shades on ebay. Vintage Theater Hotel Ruby Red Exit Sign Sconce Wall Light Glass Globe 3653-14
Very nice Ruby Red Exit sign sconce wall light fixture. It is a beautiful ruby red color with exit spelled out in white letters. The base is chrome plated metal. The chrome has scratches in it and could use a cleaning. The attached socket has a pull chain as well as a receptical. Both the socket and wire look good but are untested. The globe has the usual flea bites around the fitter edge it is otherwise undamaged. Overall we consider it to be in good usable condition. See 4th image, but is not seen when placed a base that you can purchase at the hardware store. The"EXIT" lettering is in excellent condition and displays a black color. The globe measures 5" inches tall and roughly 4 1/2" inches across. There is some over spray paint on this globe, but easily comes off with a razor blade. Up for bid are 4 Authentic Vintage 1930's wall or ceiling mount Ruby Red glass wedge-shaped EXIT sign globes. This foursome is in very good condition. These hard to find signs were removed from a High School in Ottawa. ONT prior to demolishing. They measure 7" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" with a 3 1/8" opening. SIGNS CONDITIONS: Ruby Red#1- No chips or scratches. Painted letters are in very good condition(see pics) Ruby Red#2- No chips or scratches. Painted letters are in good condition with signs of paint fading and pin-hole dots on the"I" T" and"X" on side only, see pics) Ruby Red#3- No chips or scratches. Painted letters are in good condition. Letters"X" and"I" have two small scratches on them(approx.1" long and both have 2 minuscule pieces of dirt painted on what seems to ... morebe from the factory) see pics) Ruby Red#4- No chips or scratches. Painted letters are in good condition. Letters"X" I" E" on one side and"X" I" on the other have small scratches on them(1/4" to 1/2" long, pin-hole dots on letters"I" and"T" Also, two very small red stains on the"E" and"I" See pics) Included are 3 fitters in excellent shape with no dents or scratches. they have been painted over a few times) The sockets and wires look good but are old and untested. The MILK GLASS EXIT LIGHT is in very good condition. Measures 4 3/8" wide x 3 3/4" deep x 6 1/2" long WITH a 3 1/4" opening. Has"EXIT" on three sides.
