Each Sconce measures approximately 7 1/2" high(from the bottom of the gas burner, to the highest part of the light) and will stand out from the wall about 10" to the edge of the shade holder) The shade holder measures about 3 1/2" in diameter and has a spring type holder for the shade(see photo) They are both in very good condition with a nice old patina on the brass that shows some wear but still looks wonderful! There is a tiny gas adjuster screw, above the shade holder apparatus, that still turns but the knob end on each is worn away(It might have been a type of rubber) Everything looks beautiful on these old wall sconces! These are"as found" architectural salvage. We have not even had a chance to wipe these off. So you get them as found out of the box, after many years. The main valves are stiff to turn, but not frozen. I moved it with fingers, not putting any tools on the handles. The fit ring i/d are 2 18 inches in diameter max. A two inch shade would be appropriate. This is sold as architectural salvage parts. Period correct, for architectural restoration. MISSION BRASS GAS WALL SCONCES WITH ORIGINAL SHADES
Brass with a beautiful patina. Gas keys turn freely. Never been electrified. The burners are marked Welsbach. They have 3 1/4" spring clip fitters. The sconces extend approx 13" The height is approx 10 1/2" because of the great goose neck. The backplate is a 4 1/2" square. The shades are very dirty but I did not feel any rough spots when I ran my fingers over it. The shade rings have 3 patent dates on them. The most recent is Feb 14. 91. Thanks for looking! Working condition from a Seattle lighting shop which has since gone out of business.
