Antique Frosted Etched Painted Pink Cabbage Roses Glass Globe Shade Green Leaves
This is a stunning antique frosted glass light globe has delicate raised pink roses and green leaves with a garland of branches with tiny thorns looping all around the bell of the globe. Standing 4.5” tall. The neck is 3.25” around(outside diameter) and 2 7/8” around(inside diameter) The sides are fluted at the neck and then flare out to a bell with a turned edge that is 6” wide. The delicate pink roses, leaves and brambles with thorns are raised on the outside of the glass, but the coloring was added on the glossy inside. Under the top lip is a chip about ½” long, plus a few flea bites, and the larger diameter lip has a small chip on the inside(not noticeable from the outside) plus some air bubbles throughout the glass, but nothing that detracts and nothing that compromises the overall integrity of the shade. There are no cracks or ... moresplits anywhere and the beautiful frosting is complete throughout. It could use a cleaning but I will leave that up to the new owner. This is a gorgeous vintage glass globe and most unusual, probably from the 1930’s or earlier. Perfect for a small night table lamp, it could also be repurposed by being paired with a candle pillar inside to show off the dainty pink roses. This estate sale item a glass globe for a ceiling fixture. The house from which it comes was built in 1947; I think it's the original fixture from the main bathroom. The globe would work for any style from mid-century modern to art deco. The design is an interesting mixture of ribbed. Dotted, and concentric circles of frosted glass with a milk glass accent band. In terms of size, it would work best in a smaller space like a bathroom, kitchenette, short hall, etc. The globe is fairly small(6 3/4" across the base, 5 1/2" high, and 2 3/4" across the opening) We package the fragile items we sell carefully with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. I don't know a lot about this glass globe. I do know it's old. It is possibly special made somehow. A three-piece mold maybe. Someone was telling me bits about its significance as they were trying to get it away from me at a sale, but wouldn't tell me much more when I wouldn't give it up. They did mention Portland Oregon. a possible origin. It is a nice globe in good condition but does have a couple little chips around the rim where it would go into the fixture but nothing major. It is approximately 8 1/2 inches tall, the inside of the hole is 2 1/2 inches and the outside of the rim is 3 1/4. It does have a few bubbles here and there and it weighs 1 lb. 15 oz. Up for auction is this Gorgeous vintage applied roses porcelain wall sconce with brass accents and a frosted globe. This is a lovely light to install anywhere in your home! Free from any breaks or cracks that I could find. The cord is 5 feet long. The porcelain mount is 12 3/4" long by 2" wide. The mounting holes are 6 1/4" apart from the center of each hole. Up at auction today we are offering a VERY nice set of two antique milk glass light diffusers. They are bell shaped. Measure 5 3/8" tall, are 4 1/4" in diameter on the bottom, and 2 3/16" on the top lip. Outside of these are a frosted finish, and the inside is glossy finish.They are in excellent condition for globes that are reaching 100 years old! They have no chips or cracks, but each one does have a tiny chip on the upper lip where the screws hold it into the fixture, but when mounted, you cannot see them, nor do they affect their function. They have a beautiful pattern, just look at the photos! Looks like a tulip pattern with round"bumps" around the bottom, with a 2 piece"ridge" then a series of arches, followed by indented ribs running to the top. The globes have a diameter of 16" and are about 8" deep. The center is embossed with a rosettes and the rim is encircled with an embossed design. The embossed design on one shows a very light color residue; possibly painted or shadowed design at one time.see photo. The globe would attach to the rim of a ceiling fixture(NOT INCLUDED) It could also be used as a hanging fixture if it was attached to a ring attached to suspended chains. Excellent vintage condition. Antique Greek Key Light Lamp Globe Ceiling Mount Frosted Milk Glass Shade
Welcome to my auction for this vintage white milk glass ceiling light shade. It has a greek key design around the center of the globe and is about 6" long. Has a 3" opening and at widest is about 5.5" across. There are no cracks. The edge where it fits into the ceiling fixture has a few flakes likely from the original mold, that would not show when in the fixture. See close up on pic 3 for added detail.

Which I purchased recently at a local sale. I always buy Light Fixture parts and pieces when I see ones that I like, and this one is a great piece, see picts. The glass globe/shade is deeply molded in a frosted glass. deeply molded. Can feel inside and out. The beautiful painted floral pattern that runs around the bottom rim or opening appears to be hand painted, and is on the inside of the glass, see picts. The bottom edge of the shade/globe has a rough finish/rough cut edge. Not damage but would have occurred during production, see picts. The top opening. Where it mounts to a fixture still has the brass ring attached to it; 3 screws around the ring to hold the shade in place, see picts. This shade/globe measures approx. 7 inches in diameter across the widest point. See picts. This shade has a top opening of approx. 2 1/8 inches across to the outside rim, and the wider shade opening, has an approx. 6 1/8 inch opening, see picts.
