One lot of Two HUGE Reverse painted puffy glass shades for light fixtures!!
Up for bid is one lot of two HUGE reverse painted. Puffy, translucent glass shades that appear to be from the first half of the 1900's! These shades are 9 inches tall, have an inside diameter of 14 inches at the widest point, a small opening of 1 5/8 inches inside diameter and the large opening of 11 1/4 inches inside diameter. Each unit has two"v" cuts out of the glass that are 2 inches deep and 5 inches wide. The glass is 3/16 to 1/4 inches thick. No visible cracks or serious chips. We do not want to say they are perfect as they do show some wear from use and age. We could not find a makers mark or an artists mark on these globes. We are not sure of the age of the items or the origin. We are not sure if the units are intended for a floor lamp type of fixture or designed to be in a ceiling fixture. Vintage Sconce Pair Chrome Art Deco Opalescent Glass Slip Shades Light Fixtures
Consideration for your restoration. Pair chrome plated Art deco sconces with opalescent glass slip shades. They are a solid heavy pair of sconces made of some type of cast non magnetic metal. The chrome is in excellent shape with only small amounts of light scratches and nicks. The wire and socket both look good. The slip shades are in good shape as well, They do however have some nicks, flea bites, and what looks like thin shards missing I could not get a good picture of these. They are free from cracks and are very solid. I am not an expert but I would guess these are from the 1930s, for that kind of age I consider these to be in excellent condition. They Measure Approx: 7 1/4"tall X 3 3/4"wide X 3"deep. Please look over the pictures and ask question when needed. Antique Victorian or Art Deco Light Fixtures - Chandeliers and Sconces W/ Shades
This is an extremely rare find- a complete set of matching early 1900s light fixtures in amazing condition with ALL of the glass shades and NO chips in any of them! The lights could be considered Art Deco or Victorian or would even work in an Art Nouveau interior. I believe they are early 1900s- possibly 1910 or so. There are 2 chandeliers and 2 sconces. The chandeliers are about 18" high and wide. The sconces are about 8" high. They are very heavy. The chandeliers weigh about 20 pounds each. They are in beautiful condition. One of the chandeliers has very minor surface rust that I'm sure could be polished off pretty easily. The other fixtures have no rush whatsoever. They have not been rewired. One fixed and one adjustable are in excellent physical condition, but painted, and they need rewiring. They are 8 inches wide and 5 inches tall. The fixed holder is 8 inches tall and the adjustable holder is 10 inches, expanding to 12 inches. The blue shade has an edge spot that looks like the blowers end point. They measure approximately 4 1/4" tall(one is slightly taller) By approximately 3" across the top openings. The smaller fitter ends measure just over 1 5/8" across to the outer edges. This pair of 5 light fixtures were removed from a turn of the century home. They are complete but. Will need cleaned. The fixtures hang 15" without the shades; the canopies are about 6 1/2" in diameter. The shades are 4" H X 4 1/2W; all have frosted interiors and. Are in damage free condition. The sockets appear to be in good operating condition. The switches have a strong snap when turned and they all have mica interiors. All of the shade holders retain their original set screws. Pair 3 Arm Antique Electric Wall Sconce Fixtures + 4 Old Shades Edison Pat 1890
A matching pair of three arm antique wall sconces. 2 arms down.center arm up. They are brass I believe. Magnet does not stick anywhere. The down arms have 2 1/4 inch fitters as do the old shades that were on them. a couple of the fitters are bent. They have a Victor patent date of sept 23 1890. The sockets say Edison Patents. The turn switches say Bryant. On the bottom of the 2 center sockets it looks like at one time a pull chain had been there. No other markings. The caps that cover the wall have been cut out for some reason and have paint on them here& there. No splits bends or breaks in the arms. Overall wear to finish. No chips or cracks in the 4 shades other then normal fitter wear. Rare and good looking pair that need some help from a lighting guy. 2 Antique White Glass VITROLITE Ceiling Light Fixtures w/Shades Art Deco Chrome Hello Bidders, Thank you for stopping here to look. In this auction I have a pair of vintage or antique ceiling light fixtures with shades. Both are made of white glass"Vitrolite" that was used in businesses and homes. Mainly bathrooms in the early 1900's into the mid-century. The pair I have are stacked square ceiling mount. They still have porcelain and brass hardware or sockets that can be removed. They have a brass chrome plated fitter with three screws. The shades are also made of vitrolite. Not white milk glass. This glass is more opaque. They are round bell like shaped. The fixtures size is 6" x 6" square flush to the ceiling. The fitter for the shades. This is the chrome part, 2-1/2" d. The drop with the shades is 7-3/4" ... moreand the bottom of the shades is 6-3/4"d. Their condition is very good. Not chips, cracks, or repairs. There are tiny nicks or fleabites around the top of the shade that goes into the fitter. This cant be seen when put together. There are holes in the fixtures for screwing them up to the ceiling and one other hole for a switch if needed. These fixtures have a nice Art Deco period look. Thank you again for looking.

For auction we have four antique lighting fixtures. They are mostly complete except the one that is mostly just chain with two sockets attached(seems to have been part of some grander unit) I just took a look at the other three and other than the need for new wire could be installed and used in present condition.
