This is an original Victorian antique black embossed box with brass fixtures. It's a lovely old piece and has beautiful embossed flowers on the top. lt obviously was a presentation box that held an item. I really don't know what the box is covered in. Maybe a black fabric or possibly some kind of black skin or leather. The brass closure and hinges are lovely. The box measures 8"L x 5"W by 3"H. It is lined in a yellow fabric.
