This hanging ... morelight fixture dates from the 1920's. It is made mostly of brass however some parts are made of cast iron including the chain. Please ote. This lamp is being sold as-found for parts and repair. There are a couple tiny cracks in the fitters as you can see. There is also signs of rust on the thumb screws as well as the chain which would need to be cleaned up. It looks as if someone had started to restore this lamp but never finished. There are new wires as well as new sockets and it is being sold as working. The lamp shades shown in the pictures will be included. The glass lamp shades are free from any chips or cracks. The fitter size is a standard 2 1/4" so most antique lamp shades would fit this lamp. This lamp also comes with the ceiling canopy and the original mounting bracket. The fixtures measures 17" at the widest point. The diameter of the ceiling canopy is 5" And it hangs a total of 29" from the ceiling. Combine on multiple items and save HUGE on shipping! Wow! 2) The five glass S-shaped arms have notches cut into the glass. 3) There are five additional arms which leap into the air. These hold a glass(not plastic! ring. The ring in turn holds double strands which swag out to the other arms. Elegant. Stunning! 4) The candle covers are not plastic. Nor cardboard. They are glass! Yes. Glass! I’ve never seen this before! 5) The glass bobeches(the disks under the candle covers) are unique. These are normally bowl-shaped but the bobeches here are more plate-like. I’m very pleased to offer this astounding. High-quality 1920s 5-arm chandelier by Halcolite of New York! Halcolite was located at 100 Grand Street in New York City. The chandelier is amazingly luscious. And abounds with rich details. Wow. Wow! The whole is cast brass. And the weight is impressive. I must stress the quality. The brass retains its original polychrome. This is a burnished gold. And with accents of red, blue, and green. Gorgeous. The whole has an appealing but hard-to-describe quality– the five arms of the chandelier seem to be leaping into the air. Like ballet dancers on point. Another wonderful detail is the many dangling finials. I’ve seen the fixture on occasion but the dangles are usually missing. The fixture is not actually restored yet. Save for touching up the blue on the ceiling canopy. The finish is a very good vintage condition. I will fully rewire, and the exposed vertical wire will be cloth-covered like the original. The paper insulators will also be replaced. All this will take a week after payment is received. Style-wise. Vintage 1950s Swag Ceiling Hanging Glass Prism Gold Finish Electrical Lamp Chandelier signed by designer. I cannot make out the signature on this lamp but I took pictures of it for you to figure out who might have made it. It is in almost excellent vintage condition with its only major flaw is that one of the glass/crystal prisms metal tie down is missing as seen in my pictures with arrow. This isn't noticeable though because when it is hanging the strand hangs down straight. Also. The chandelier is in its original condition I found it in at the estate sale and needs to be cleaned up more. I haven't the clue to what to clean it with and I'm going to leave that up to you but it really isn't all that dirty just a little dusty. This chandelier does work and is a 3 way system. You will have to get light bulbs for it because they ... moreare not included. I really don't feel safe shipping with bulbs. It is a really nice piece that has a great art deco look without being too frilly. As far as wiring goes I do know that the item works as seen in the pictures without any glitches but I have no idea if it is up to code with todays standards. Due to its age you might want to have it rewired to be on the safe side or just leave it like it is. I would use it like it is if it was mine and feel safe with it but not all people are a like. A 1930's Art Deco architectural salvage Ceiling Light Fixture, complete w/ hanging switch plug. The is is an entire self contained electrical system for a room with only a ceiling drop; complete with switch and electrical outlet. In the early days of electricity. From about 1880 to 1930 and later for some, the houses were not wired for electricity. This is an entire circuit for a room with one ceiling light drop. Included is the ceiling light and glass, but also included is the original braided cord(2 feet or so) and original light and power switch that hangs from the ceiling fixture. With the one power source you could run a room from this spot. Dimensions- fixture hangs 10 inches long from ... moreceiling to bottom of glass. Glass is 7 1/2 inches in diameter; fit ring diameter for glass 4 1/8 inches; Ceiling plate 5 7/8 inch diameter; Mounting hole spacing 5 1/4 inches. The electrical components are all in excellent shape. Currently wired and working for photos. We have opened up the socket/switch mechanism so you can see how clean and excellent it is. With a little staining on the ceramic light socket. You can see how excellent the parts are within the original light socket. This is is excellent for an era correct installation in a historic home. Original restoration of early electricity supplied age homes, built from the late 1800s to the 30s. We have only cleaned the components. Evaluated condition, and a reassembly of parts throughout. We can paint the base to make this beautiful. But felt that it would limit the future need. Some might want it original, some might want it restored by a professional or spray can of your favorite color. Antique Vintage Light Fixture Gas And Electric Hanging Fixture No Shades
Here is a great old gas/electric combo fixture. And all of the gas plumbing appears to be intact. The finish is worn over the entire piece, all components except for the gas plumbing are brass. The gas valves move freely, though there is no wiring at the moment. One of the sockets is frozen, so the pull chain doesn't move. A complete rewire is needed anyway, so all of the issues can be addressed at that time. There are no shades included. And there are 2 fitter screws that are missing. The fitter size is 2 1/4" for the electric, and 1 1/2" for the gas shades. The finial appears to be a replacement(see pics) There is a nipple at the end for mounting/gas connect. Antique Ceiling Hanging Light Fixture Chandelier 5-Bulb Electric Brass Metal
For your restoration pleasure. Here is a lovely antique ceiling fixture. Mixed metal construction, the socket covers, bottom body, and ceiling rose are brass, the arms are probably pot metal, and the upper body part is steel. It measures about 18" across at the sockets, hangs down approximately 16" from the ceiling to the end of the finial. All five sockets include the shade screws and the individual switches are intact and seem to work properly. The lamp will of course need to be rewired. And it has developed a fair amount of oxidation, tarnish, and finish loss. Other than that, the fixture is in remarkably solid condition, should restore to a show piece or could be enjoyed as found if you appreciate a shabby, original look. Vtg. Antique Brass Hanging Electric Ceiling Light! Lamp! Victorian! Chandelier
I have two of these listed so if you need a matching set please view it's mate. I listed separate because most of the time people only need one. This wonderful antique light measures 23 inches wide/round and 18 inches tall. The chain and the part that attaches to the ceiling are an additional 20 inches. But of course, the chain can be shortened to adjust to the height of your ceiling. I personally would replace the chain and rewire the lamp due to age. For its age, it's in excellent shape, and I can find very little wear. There is a bit of scuffing and the metal has tarnished a little bit in spots. That would be mainly on the chain and such though, as the body of the lamp is just great. The bulbs need replace and you can chose the bulb of your choice. Beautiful Antique Hanging Gas Light that has been converted to electric. It is all original except for the ceiling cap. This light was purchased in Calhan. Colorado. We were told that it came out of a mansion that was being torn down. There are no cracks or any other damage. It is a light Amber color with Rose Floral etching. Vintage Mid Century Green Electric Plug In Hanging Lamp w/ Amber Colored Glass Globes and Glass Prisms. This Lamp or Light works great and would be an asset to anyone's vintage home decor. It has been cleaned lightly for pictures but might need a little more. It is missing one of its original nuts on top. We have replaced it with another one as seen in pictures. The prisms could stand to be rewired and attached to the lamp. The wire has gotten old that holds them onto the lamp and sometimes they break off due to the brittle metal wire. So rewiring the prisms is a must eventually. It isn't missing any of its prisms. You might see some minor scratches to the paint ... morebut none that is just awful or takes away from the lamp. Antique Art Nouveau Deco Cast Metal Hanging Chandelier Light Fixture Electric
Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Deco Hanging Chandeliers- Made of some sort of light weight cast metal. I do not know what kind, they need cleaning but not really any rust- They are marked. made in USA" and"Patented 11-25-24" and have a design number as well- ok. It looks like the person before me was trying to clean them up, one is in its totally original state, the other has been lightly cleaned, the most obvious evidence of this is in the fourth photo, they really shined up that part, then got some white paint on it, this is the only area of any sort of issue, I think the paint can be removed easily enough- The metal is a silver pewter sort of color. With lightly painted details- The light bulbs would hand on the underside. This needs to be re-wired, I have photographed the original cloth covered wires- The part where you ... morescrew in the light bulbs looks really good. Copper parts and it looks like maybe these have been replaced, but not sure they look really clean inside- you will need 2 screws to re-connect the part where it attaches to the ceiling on one of them- each chandelier measures 17" across. 22" hanging- PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. Hello! Up for bid is an antique pendant light fixture made by General Electric. The porcelain base comes apart in two pieces that you twist to lock together. The fixture has been tested and is working perfectly. The cloth cord is in excellent condition with absolutely no frayed or worn spots. The only defect in this fixture is a small piece of porcelain is missing next to one of the wiring terminals. I will pack the fixture in a way that you will receive it undamaged.
