ANTIQUE BRASS FLUSH CEILING LIGHT BEADED DOUBLE HUBBELL SOCKETS VINTAGE HANGING FIXTURE A lovely. Antique, brass light fixture that mounts flush to the ceiling. It appears to be all solid brass except the canopy may be plated white metal(it is quite heavy) It has two arms with sockets and the shade holders have holes with beads hanging from them. Both electrical sockets are marked" HUBBELL" and they both have acorn pulls chains. It measures approximately 12" long from the ceiling, down to the bottom of the beads x 12" across x 9 1/2" across the ceiling canopy x 5 1/8" wide(at the ceiling canopy) This fixture is in very good condition but the hanging beads were changed at one time, to plastic. There is only minor wear to the brass and there are tiny set screws along the edge of the canopy, but two are missing(one ... moreon each end) I see no dents or breaks to the brass. It has been re-wired, at some time in the past) and works fine. Both pull chains can turn it on or off. It throws a much prettier light then the photos show and has a terrific 1920's feel. (2) Set of Antique Double Arm Solid Brass Wall Light Sconces-Rewired-w/sockets
I used to polish all my brass lights until I learned. Not all buyers like the high polished look. Some like them just like you see these. If I polish them, I loose a little of the market of buyers because they like the patina left on the light. If you prefer yours polished, these would look amazing and it wouldn't be hard at all with just a little time and some brasso. I found these in the rafters of an out building at an estate sale. They wasn't in terrible condition but the sockets were pretty much toast. The lights used to have the type socket with a roll switch on each socket. One of the pics shows where the flange just below the bulb has the place cut out for such a socket. If you want, you could put this type socket back in it. The opening can be turned to the back so it can't be seen. I just think it limits as to where ... morethe lights could be used if the switch was on the socket. You could just turn it on before mounting them and the switch would then work them but most of the time these will be used where you can't reach the light to use that type switch. Anyway, it has brand new sockets and wire in it, so they are ready to use if this application fits your needs. These are solid brass and not plated. Judging by the sockets that was in them and the wiring, I'd say 30's or 40's but I don't think they are any newer than that. Beautiful matching set and well made. You should know their size by the pics I took with a tape measure. The shades are pretty common and you can still find many different ones to go with these. These are also versital because you can turn them up or down. Each shade holder only has 2 out of 3 of the screws that holds the shades in the light. Plenty enough if they are turned up, if you mount them turned down, you will probably need to make sure you have all 3 screws in the holder or the shade will fall out. ANTIQUE LARGE FEDERAL BLUE VASE LAMP, DOUBLE SOCKETS
Offered here is a large and stately antique Federal blue vase lamp. Fitted with double pull chain sockets and an adjustable center rod. The lamp is stable and very heavy. It measures 24" tall at the height adjustment shown, but may be raised or lowered a few inches, either up or down. The base is 7" across from one of the 6 foot points to the opposite one. The metal fittings have the patina of age. The sockets work well and I see no chips, cracks or negative issues with this lamp. Please feel free to email with any questions you may have.
