There are a variety of crystal shapes and sizes on this piece that make it very rich. All of the prisms are present. And almost all are without chips. Some of the larger prisms has small chips that are consistent with a piece from the 1930's. None of the prisms are severely damaged or broken in half, for example. There are six Edison based light socket. Each accepting one bulb at 100 watts each. Clear bulbs allow the crystal to sparkle! Additional lead wire is provided in the top of the canopy for easy wiring. Each ornate light features a standing cherub holding the light fitting. Very ornate. Topped with a cut glass saucer dressed with lead crystal almond drops. A true pair ~ one faces to the left and the other to the right. The lights are electrified with new bulbholders and three core flex. Working but should be checked and installed by a qualified person. Flying Cherub Chandelier This is a super architectural item. It is an original flying gesso cherub. Holding not one but two cut glass crystal chandeliers. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR MORE PICTURES The cherub measures 330 mm(13 inches) from head to toe and the arm width is 250 mm(10 inches) The drops are made up of two sections. A round top bead and a long faceted piece. The wiring and holders are original. Which shows that this is a true period piece, not a modern reproduction. The cherub has a chain to hang it from and I have included a ceiling rose, which is more modern, but has to be better than a white plastic one! The wiring will need replacing before use. WOW! This is simply an incredible antique gorgeous huge candelabra! It is 37 1/4 tall and 21 1/4 inches wide. It has(10) 12 inch crystals around the base. And(20) 9 inch crystals around each candle cup. There are unfortunately 4 broken crystals, which I have saved, and(8) tear drop crystals. There are 4 arms, 3 are fine, except for one which needs to be fixed, as I have shown in one of the photos, it is currently tie wrapped in place, but could be easily fixed. I have had it for years, and this never took away from its beauty. The finial is 9 inches tall. This candelabra I purchased years ago from the sweetest woman who was given this candelabra as a wedding present from her parents.
