I do not know what kind, they need cleaning but ... morenot really any rust- They are marked. made in USA" and"Patented 11-25-24" and have a design number as well- ok. It looks like the person before me was trying to clean them up, one is in its totally original state, the other has been lightly cleaned, the most obvious evidence of this is in the fourth photo, they really shined up that part, then got some white paint on it, this is the only area of any sort of issue, I think the paint can be removed easily enough- The metal is a silver pewter sort of color. With lightly painted details- The light bulbs would hand on the underside. This needs to be re-wired, I have photographed the original cloth covered wires- The part where you screw in the light bulbs looks really good. Copper parts and it looks like maybe these have been replaced, but not sure they look really clean inside- you will need 2 screws to re-connect the part where it attaches to the ceiling on one of them- each chandelier measures 17" across. 22" hanging- PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. Vintage Lighting 5 Bulb Hanging Chandelier Aldersyde Series by Virden 1930s-40s
Vintage Antique 5 bulb cast metal hanging chandelier. Manufactured by the John C. Virden company. The fixture is part of the Aldersyde Series. From the 1930's-1940's. See picture from their 1941 catalog. This chandelier is in excellant working condition. It has not had any restoration to the polychrome paint finish& retains the original antique gold patina as well as the green and red floral motifs. The original porcelain sockets are intact, the only known thing done to the wiring is it has been wrapped. There is an on/off switch on the base of the unit but it has been deactivated. Uses standard base bulbs, 60 watt max. Chandelier is ready to hang, no bulbs included. As seen in the pictures the chandelier works. We have been using it in our dining room for 3+ years but our home is more of a farmhouse so we recently(last week) ... moretook it down. Antique Cut Glass Electric Hanging Lamp Chandelier Lighting Fixture Vtg 20th C Description Original Vtg Early 20th Century Electric Small Cut Glass Hanging Lamp Chandelier Lighting Fixture GREAT CONDITION This small cut glass hanging lamp/ chandelier is from the early 20th century and still has its original fittings. And white ceramic wheel at the top to accommodate movement. The bottom of the lamp is 10" in diameter with a scalloped edge and 24 wire ties where prisms hung. THE ORIGINAL PRISMS ARE MISSING. The ties are 1 1/2" apart and between each of them are oval"dimples. The simple motif is echoed in the top of the fixture, which is 4" in diameter at the upward opening. The scallops are sharper in the top piece and there are also oval"dimples" between the peaks. The glass is in excellent condition and there ... moreare tiny bubbles in the old glass. The petite scale of this chandelier makes it well-suited for a bedroom, bathroom or a smaller dining room or kitchen. This lamp is in Excellent Condition and is ready to be wired. The last 3 rings on the chain are not original. You can refer to the pictures.
