The only part that turns is the circular mounting part. Maybe this went at top of a staircase. Not sure. Porcelain light fixture is mounted in copper. Two (2) Antique Vintage Ceiling or Wall Light Fixtures-Cast Metal and Brass
This auction features two(2) very unique antique ceiling or wall light fixtures. Constructed of both brass and cast ferrous metal. The base of the fixtures is brass, which is currently heavily painted over. Oxidized brass can be observed at the edge of the base and at the ceiling holes where the paint has been scratched off. The"canopy" is cast ferrous metal(a magnet is attracted to it) designed to appear like"roping" It, too is heavily painted, so I don't know the color of the underlying metal. The canopy is secured to the base with the large"nut" that also secures the light bulb socket. The light socket on both fixtures is the original Arrow 3134 socket and it visually appears to be in good. Working condition. Short pieces of wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged ... morefrom the ceiling. The socket appears to be constructed of copper and ceramic material. The dimensions of these two fixtures are: Base: 5-1/2" in diameter Cast Metal Canopy: 6" wide at the widest points Overall fixture height: 4-1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the canopy. These two fixtures are quite unique-I have not seen any that resemble them. They appear to be in excellent condition. I have not cleaned them. And I am selling them in the same condition as I acquired them. They definitely need to have the years of paint removed from them to return them to their original beauty. This is a Beautiful painted Deco wall sconce light is what appears to be in work order but is untested. The paint job is very rich with only a couple small blemishes that can easily be touched up, which includes a couple small nicks in the paint on the edges and if you view the 2nd to last photo the connector arm is missing paint on the curled metal loop. it is approx. 11 inches tall 4.5 inches wide and protrudes from the mounting surface by 6 inches. the socket appears to be in excellent condition for the age.

Gorgeous antique cast metal slip shade stye sconce fixture. Measures about 5 ½" wide by 7 ½" long. Very good condition for age. Has a lovely pattern and nice bronze/copper finish. There is a little discoloration at the bottom tip of fixture, but I was afraid to try and clean it. I believe the piece is cast iron as it is quite heavy, but it could be cast aluminum, or spelter. This is a beautiful antique wall sconce for restoration. It has original copper socket and wiring so this would need replacing. This would take a slip shade, which unfortunately was not with it when found. There is no maker name or other markings that I can see. Up for auction/sale is this original antique cast iron and brass wall sconce/lamp. The shield and arm are made of cast iron. The shield is embellished with filigree work and two ornate finials. The flute base is made of brass and has brass leaves surrounding. The socket is very old and the paper is coming off from around it. There is a considerable amount of rust throughout the cast iron. Antique cast iron wall sconce. Measures 5" long x 3.5" tall x 2.5" wide. Length being the dimension that sticks out from the wall) Condition is as seen in photos. Some discoloration and other wear. The gold colored paint is wearing off in places. The peg the goes into the hole on the mounting plate is bent slightly. I am not sure if it is supposed to be or not. Recently acquired from an estate. This auction is for a fantastic antique set of 2 cast metal, art deco style wall sconces. As seen, with original wiring still in the one, these were electric and can be again. Measuring 9-1/2 inches long, 4-1/2 wide x and approx. 5 inches from the wall, the decorative areas on the metal is very unique, however, there are areas on both of these where the paint is chipping, peeling away, as seen in pics. Wall Sconce Copper Cast Metal Vintage Antique Double 2 Light Ornate Art Deco
We found this old wall sconce at an estate auction. The two socket covers and the backplate are copper. The rest is cast metal. The scone is approximately 10” wide x 8” high x 5” deep. The backplate is 5” in diameter. The edge of the backplate is ruffled at the edge. I did wire the sconce in and it works– however– the socket on the left is very loose and definitely needs some work or replacement. The wiring looks like it was replaced at one time. The amber bulbs shown in the photos are what was in the sconces when we got it. However, they are NOT INCLUDED in the purchase and will not be shipped with the sconce.
