4 NUART Art Deco Carnival Glass Shades On 4 Arm Brass Antique Chandelier Fixture
This is a wonderful antique brass and frosted glass shade 4 arm chandelier with 4 matching NUART Art Deco carnival glass shades. I believe it dates from the 1920s or 1930s. The shades have a beautiful amber color. They each have a fluted pattern on the inside of the shade. They have lightly etched grapes and leaves. Each is marked on the rim NUART. There are no chips or cracks on any of them. However. One of them has tiny thin scratches on the inside around the middle. The only way I can describe them is that someone tried to fit a lightbulb in it that was too big and it made tiny scratch marks along the inside. Unfortunately, I was unable to photograph them. The shades alone could be used for a FRANKART lamp or fixture also. The brass fixture is not marked with a maker's name. The arms have a great Art Deco pattern. It is in very good ... morecondition for its age except that it has a number of tiny 1/8 inch cracks along the rim on top. Approximately 15 of them. They look to have been there for a long time and do not look like they will break any more as the brass is securely fastened to the other piece of brass. It's a very sturdy piece. It also has a wonderful etched frosted glass center dome. The dome has some little dark marks on it and some dirt around the rim which I could not get off. But which don't show much. There is a tiny chip on the lip, approximately 1/4 inch wide. There are a few other flea bites around the rim which do not affect its structure. The shades are each approximately 5 1/2 inches tall(14 cm) Their main opening is 3 7/8 inches wide(9.8 cm) The fitter openings are 2 1/4 inches across(5.7 cm) The frosted glass dome is 12 inches wide(31 cm) It is 5 1/2 inches deep(14 cm) It's lip measures 9 7/8 inches across(25 cm) The main brass fixture is 21 inches wide(53 cm) The round part is 13 inches wide(33 cm) It measures 32 inches from the top of the ceiling attachment to the bottom of the shades(81 cm) I believe it was rewired within the last 30 years. Beautiful Large Antique Carnival Glass Light Fixture Shades - Set of 2
Beautiful Large Antique Carnival Glass Light Fixture Shades. Set of 2. Found in a house built in the 20's and guessing they are original to the house or added shortly after being built. These are beautiful heavy glass.I have never seen any like this and couldn't find any similar on Ebay. They would really set off a chandelier or be nice on a pair of table lamps. The top appears to fit a standard 2" fitter. They are 6 1/4"tall and 6 3/4" wide at widest section. The color would go with just about anything. Top is clearish- whiteish and bottom is a simple iridescent caramel color. Beautiful heavy glass with no scratches or cracks. Several small chips to bottom edge. One chip is larger than the others. But still doesn't detract from the glass(this is the chip that is shown in the picture) Bottom edge is thick and appears ... moreto have been machine cut when made.I really wonder if some of the chips are part of the manufacturing. In any case, due to the texture and sheen of the glass they are not really that noticeable. Please see pictures.

This is a fully working and functioning electric chandelier. One owner which was my grandmothers. Its a beautiful piece which has been inspected at the the Nelsons Atkins Museum in Kansas City for its authenticity. It is a bronze base with a beautiful carnival glass globe. base is 14.5 circular width from the top base is 13.5 globe is 9.5 bottom to the top width 13.5 rare piece of history. ANTIQUE IRIDESCENT GLASS LAMP SHADE GLOBES AMBER CARNIVAL SMALL HOBNAIL 1 1/2"
Pair antique glass lamp shades. The shades are beautifully accented in an iridescent amber color. There are fine lines coming down from the top to the end that provide the appearance of motion. Each line is further highlighted by small hobnail. Shades cumulate in a nice. Ruffled edge. The opening of the shades measures 1 1/2" in diameter and 4" tall when standing on the base. Condition is very good with exception of a very small chips along the shade top that connects to the lamp. Shipping is free within the Continental US. We are glad to ship outside the Continental US. COLOR; CARNIVAL GLASS COLOR. SIZE; VERY LARGE MEASURES 15 1/2 INCHES ACROSS. DEPTH HARD TO MEASURE BUT APPROX 4 INCHES AND SIDES TAPER. CONDITION; VINTAGE ITEM WITH NORMAL WEAR. SEE PICTURES BEFORE BUYING. OUTSIDE; CLEAR CENTER SEE A FEW SCUFF MARKS AND ONE HOLE HAS A SMALL CHIP AND MAYBE A FEW SCUFF MARKS BUT HARD TO SEE.
