This is a very heavy fixture that could be wired for a chandelier or to be used for candles. I'm not sure if its a handmade item or what. He hangs off of two chains. There are 6 holders. It measues approx 80-82 in circumference and is 26" across if you measure that way. I believe it to be iron or steel if there's a difference between the two. Antique crystal chandelier light fixture, 1920, 8 candles, good condition
This 8 arm crystal candleabra chandelier was removed in 1990 from a registered historic home in Point Loma. Ca, that was built in 1920. Since there is no plastic and it is 100% glass with Bakelite insulators it is believed to be original to this period, however there are no records to substantiate this belief. The 24" diameter x 25" high fixture can be displayed in two different configurations: both the original 8 candle etched glass hurricane shade surrounds or with 8 individual candle shades, all included. In addition to the complete fixture there are extra replacement parts and crystals. Since the crystal strings and glass construction are delicate the fixture has been disassembled for handling and shipping and detailed instructions are included for reassembly. If the item is picked up locally I will do the reassembly. Also included ... moreis one wall sconse that matches the chandelier.
