It has porcelain and brass sockets with cloth covered wires. It has been painted several times. Looks like a green enamel finish under the paint. But have never used it ourselves. We have used it in a display with other vintage boxes. It is in working condition. The top of the box is dated 1927. A book I have dates set 842 to 1940 and shows a different plug on the cord. So I am unsure of the exact age. It is as found and as is. I am sure the bulbs are not original to the set. Condition: The cloth cord is soft and pliable. It has one small fray that is pictured. It is a circular cord. The sockets have a lot of crazing and cracking as shown in the photos. They look nicer to the naked eye than reflected in the magnified photos. The extension outlet is marked Propp and it came with this set. ... moreThe box is in poor condition with surface wear. Pieces missing, stains on top, pencil markings on top, broken corners, and taped corners. Despite the issues the box displays nicely. Antique Cast Iron & Metal Electrified Wall Sconces Porcelain Light Bulb Sockets
Pair of matching antique electrified wall sconces. Bulb holders are porcelain. Base of sconces(portion that goes on wall) measure a little over 6-1/2" side to side by a little over 5" top to bottom. Round metal where socket is measures just a tad under 5" in diameter. One of the wall sections has the outer portion pulling loose a bit on one sconce. These would obviously need new wiring as these are very old. There is paint missing all over both sconces. I'm sure they could be repainted. Both of the sconces have three holes with screw like pieces. Both have one of the screw like pieces missing. One of the sconces has a small dent and can be seen in photo(I believe it's photo#4) I tried to list all defects. Please view all photos to see condition. I am stating these sconces do have flaws. Lot of 2 vintage porcelain light bulb sockets. About 3 inches long. For standard size light bulbs. Untested for operation but both switches turn and seem to make contacts. Each one has a small chip to the porcelain on the ring above the switch. Not too serious. Some redish rust stains. Some wear and aging, as would be expected on used items of this age. And all are being sold as-is. The capacitors and resistors appear to be NOS, and my guess is that they're good. But the box the crystal is in say"replaced 2/17/79" which leads me to think the crystal may not be good. Please check the photos to confirm. But the capacitors and resistors appear to be: Capacitors. 3 yellow Ero 1813. 0.1 uF 10% 630v. 3 white Ero 1839. 0.01 uF 1% 630v. 3 blue nichicon. 22 uF 25v 1 blue nichicon. 4.7 uF 50v. These screw right onto the brass light bulb sockets with the screw patterns at the socket opening. Each bobesch measures 3 3/4" across in width outer edge to outer edge. They stand 1/2" in height. The width across the middle hole where the screw in pattern is measures 1 1/4" across in width. These bobesches together weigh 5 oz's. Measurements are approximate. RARE Antique Christmas lights porcelain edison bulb sockets set in box lamp
I have other vintage Christmas listed and more on the way. This is a RARE find a set of antique Christmas lights in the original box. These is the early porcelain sockets that held the early Edison bulbs. The sockets are in fantastic condition and as you can see they do work. They have the early GE cone bulbs in them and they are in great shape too. The only set close to these just sold for over 500.00 here is the auction number 251373169525 and the next set had no box and still brought 422.00 here is that number 161132782039 you can get the Edison bulbs here on ebay and this would be a fantastic display. I've collected Christmas items for years and this is the first set of these I've ever had for sale they just aren't found very often. There are 2 spots on the cloth cord where they have tape but hardly distract and if it really ... morebugs you it could be fixed.

Vin Noah's Ark Children's Lamp-Bulb sockets in Ark & on Top-Wooden-Switch Issues
Vintage Noak's Ark 2 Bulb Lamp- needs work on electrical This is a cute older lamp for a babies or childs room. Animals on the boat include a rhino. Cow, alligator, and a camel. The lamp is 12" tall, and the base is 10 1/4" long& 5 3/4" wide and it weighs about 1 lb. and 8 ounces. There was a bit of glueing on the bottom where one of the legs attaches- not an issue and can't be seen. The bulb in the ark just lies on the base of the boat- no support for it- low watt so doesn't create a safety hazard. It will come with this bulb but not the top bulb. The switch is made to 1st turn on the bulb in the boat. 2nd- turn on the top bulb, 3rd- to turn on both bulbs simultaneously. 4th- turns off both bulbs. The switch worked like this when I first got it but now the only light that come on is the ark bulb on position ... more1& 3. Not sure what the problem is, but it is a problem if you wanted the top light to work. This is kind of a project piece. But it sure does have some potential. THREE VINTAGE LIGHT BULB SOCKETS w/PLUG-INS - GE MONOWATT Possibly BAKELITE
These light sockets are from my grandparents' estate. My grandparents were married in 1920 and resided in rural south Arkansas throughout their lives. Grandpa owned and operated a general store from 1935 until his death in 1975. I just found several of these light sockets with plug-ins in my grandparents' storage building. I do not think these have been used. But have been in the storage building for at least forty years and probably much longer. These three electric light sockets are made of a hard plastic which I think may be bakelite- one has a GE sticker attached that says"plastic threads are safer" Two of these sockets are Monowatt by General Electric and the other is imprinted with the word"Eagle" but I am not sure if that is the brand. THIS AUCTION IS FOR 3 VINTAGE. ORNATE METAL CEILING LIGHT FIXTURES. THE BASES OF THE FIXTURES MEASURE 5-3/4" IN DIAMETER, AND THE ORNATE METAL FLANGES, HANG DOWN ABOUT 4" FROM A CEILING. THEY HAVE A WHITE PAINT ON THEM, WHICH I THINK IS ORIGINAL. ALL 3 OF THE FIXTURES ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. WITH JUST A LITTLE WEAR TO THE WHITE PAINT. THESE APPEAR TO HAVE NEWER TYPE, CERAMIC SOCKETS AND THE WIRING ALSO SEEMS TO BE FAIRLY NEW. HOWEVER, THERE IS SURFACE RUST TO THE BACKS OF THE BASES.
