Stunning antique French Empire chandelier. This was originally a gaslight that was converted to electricity at some point. Very ornate with two figural swans facing opposite directions. There are six candles that sprout from the tips of the wings and the head. It has a patina and we are leaving it in the condition. It will be the new owners choice to keep the finish as is or polish it up. Either way it will look great. There are holes along the length of the wings and other areas for hanging crystals. It is ready to be attached to a ceiling outlet. I have a lamp cord attached for demonstration purposes. Just acquired out of a Wonderful estate in the Historic Old West end of Toledo. Ohio, we are able to offer these fine quality, early 1900's era ~ SOLID BRONZE FIGURAL ACORN FINIAL WALL SCONCES ~. These sconces are very fine quality and have like a Gothic, Arts& Crafts unique design. They measure 10 inches tall by 4 inches wide and extend from the wall about 5 1/2 inches. They have a wonderful, quality, VERY HEFTY" feel when holding them. The over all condition is quite nice. They retain their original rich and warm"untouched" golden bronze patina. I would certainly imagine that it would be best to rewire them as they have the original cloth covered wire still in use. There is a little bit of paint here and there, along the sides, from when the walls in the home were painted, and I'm sure it can be removed. Huge Dresden Figural porcelain And Bronze Chandelier With Cherubs
This is a fabulous hanging chandelier fixture. First off the pictures do no justice to this piece. It is a reproduction of a Dresden porcelain fixture and the work is worthy of praise. The porcelain is all hand decorated and the glazing looks correct also. Solid bronze that has a a Dore finish is do beautiful and really compliments the rest of the light. Wonderful blue cobalt color seems to be the dominant eye catcher and the glass rose shades are awesome as well. Totally working unit ready to hang and use. 1800's Antique Brass/Bronze Gas Lamp Wall Sconce Figural Fixture Winged Angel
Listing is for an antique gas wall sconce. Made of brass or bronze. A magnet does not stick. Measures 40 1/2" tall, and extends out approximately 27" at farthest point. This does have some issues, there are no mounting brackets or bolts/screws, and no globes, just the main sconce body as shown in the photo(s) There are 3 mounting holes(See 6th photo) which are not perfectly aligned, I thought the top was out of line, but closer looking now and it appears that all 3 mounting holes are not properly aligned. Must have been dropped at some point, so will need to be bent back into alignment. A previous owner has attached 2 triangle shaped loops for hanging/mounting to a wall, I'm guessing one of these was/is the gas line, as I see no other holes. One of the two burners, the stem coming from the main body to the bottom of the top ... moreburner mount is misshapen/bent, should be an easy bend back, this shows in the photos. I'm presuming this is a gas fixture, as the burners are hollow inside, see next to last photo. I'm guessing age to be Victorian era. I see no marks as to maker. But it is very detailed and could be marked somewhere I overlooked. This is very heavy, weighs almost 30 pounds without packing. Thank you for viewing.
