This amazing swag lamp ... moreis from the 1960s or early 1970s. It has six lights and is loaded with Strass Swarovski 30% lead crystal jewel beads. I recently purchased this hanging lamp along with a matching table lamp from the same estate. The table lamp had a copyright date of 1966. This particular lamp was obviously stored away for most of its life, since it still looks like new, and is in excellent condition. The fixture is made with a combination of thick brass-plated heavy metal casting. Some solid brass, and lots of crystals. The main body of the fixture is a thick metal casting and has five lights hanging from the edge, and one that hangs from the center, which is the lowest hanging light on the fixture. The light is controlled with a rotary switch on the underside of the main body of the fixture. The center light can be turned on or off, independently from the others, and is perfect for a mood light or night light. The lamp has a 15 foot long chain with a 20 foot cord with a plug on the end, and is meant to hang by the chain from a hook(not included) and then plugged into a wall outlet. The appropriate decorative hook for hanging should be able to hold at least 15 pounds, which is the total weight of the light fixture, and have the correct anchor system for your ceiling type. The fixture measures 33 inches tall from the top of the cast loop to the bottom of the lowest finial. The maximum width is about 13 inches. This takes six short. Candelabra base light bulbs, and is being shipped with new 15 watt ceiling fan bulbs that I used when I took the pictures. Since the fixture has been stored away for most of its life, very minimal cleaning was needed, but I did that for you. When I found it, about 40% of the crystals were missing, but I was able to locate some of the same size with a very similar cut and of the same high quality. No cracks to the marble base with is 10 inches in diameter this lamp is very heavy I bought it at a palm beach estate auction about two years ago. I had it in storage until this week. dont know where to put it in my new smaller house cant keep leaving it in storage it has a wonderful patina. Welcome! Thank you for viewing our auction! You are bidding on this great architectural find of a Vintage Ceiling 5 Light Brass Chandelier and 5 Matching Sconce Set. This would be a great accent to your home to tie together your decor in a few rooms. A very large entertaining area, hallway and many other uses. Sets this large are becoming increasingly hard to find. This is nearly usable as it is but I'd recommend rewiring for safety. The way they would hang the tarnished areas wouldn't be too noticeable. The set truly does need complete restoration to look new. All light work well. All brass shows signs of age and possible storage with tarnish, minimal scratching, and light oxidation in a few spots. All candle sticks have cracking paint and are becoming brittle with 1 missing. All copper sockets work fine. I recommend updating wiring ... moreon all. 1 sconce is missing it's switch and none have mounting hardware. No real dings or dents but the center brass section on chandelier has a few stress cracks. You really have to look to see them. All nuts tighten well with exception of 1 on chandelier arm which is possibly stripped but still holds. That's all I could fine under close examination. Please magnify photos and formulate your own opinion. I truly love this set and wish I had the proper area to use it. I will ship next day USPS Mail with Tracking after receipt of cleared payment.
