Measurements: one 29 tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial one 28 1/2 tall they are about 1/2 inch different because they are hand blown glass. These are in beautiful vintage condition showing very little if any wear to the gold paint but some tarnish to the brass tone bases see picture. The decorative gold painted are raised and have a very nice quality to them Finial balls appear to be milk glass and match nicely with the lamps. But are apparently not blown from the same frosted gold glass that the lamp bases are blown from, ... morehowever, we believe these harps and finials to be original to the lamps This is a very elegant& sturdy pair of matching 1950's Mid Century Retro lamps They work! These could use a good detailed cleaning but look great as is with no chips or cracks I take great care in honestly describing everything I offer as accurately as possible with words and detailed photographs. ORIGINAL Vintage Hand Blown BLUE Glass Grape Chandelier - RARE Art Deco - WINE!!
Up for auction is an AMAZING rare original vintage hand blown blue glass grape cluster light chandelier! This light fixture was recently removed from a New Hampshire estate and is fresh to the market! I am unsure of the exact maker of this light. But believe it to be Italian made. It consists of several hand blown blue glass(rare color, couldn't find another one like it) single"grape-like" pieces that are about 2" in diameter and 3.5" long. In between these grape fixtures that are several small blue glass leaves that give an excellent t touch to the overall look of this great chandelier! Each glass piece has a small piece of wire that has been blown into the glass and then wrapped around a central metal wire cage in a cluster fashion. There are two different looking glass grapes that make up the light. Several have ... morea crackled surface(not cracks through the glass, simply a surface texture) and others are smooth with curved longitudinal segments. Condition wise, this light fixture is in as found condition. We have not tried to clean, re-wire or alter it in any way once removing it from the estate. The bottom looks like it may be missing some of the glass grape pieces(see photos and judge for yourself) but this doesn't take away from the amazing look of this piece. These glass shades were on an old Riddle chandelier and matching sconces. The milk glass has a spongewear background treatment with a red. Blue, yellow, and green flower and scroll design. Metal fitters are inside the smaller glass fitter opening with 3 slots, I assume to keep the shade in place. The larger opening measures 3 5/8" in diameter. The smallest opening inside the metal is 1 1/4" and outside the notches it is about 1 5/8" I found one tiny shade which is barely noticeable. The edges are unpolished. This auction is for a pair of hand blown. Hand crafted wall hanging vases. Wall pockets/ Sconces) Heavy wrought iron holders in which the glass was blown into it to create the shape within the caged form of the iron. You can see some bubbles within the glass. An art deco piece in very good condition no chips or cracks. The wrought iron holder is in good condition with no broken or disconnected areas. The top portion of the hanger is hinged to fold down for storage. These pieces were well cared for with no stains or scratches in the glass.
