Rare 1920's Cast Iron Antique Ceiling Light Fixture Black with Original Paint 4 Light Bare Bulb Lamp w/ Original G E Co Brass Sockets This listing is for a very nice antique light fixture. It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a cast iron fixture which has the original paint in good condition. This fixture is a hard to find fixture and this particular on is free from rust which is very hard to find. Please take a close look at the pictures to see the amazing detail. It comes with the original finial. This lamp has the original 4 brass fat boy sockets as well. They are all General Electric Company sockets. This lamp has been rewired and is tested working. Please note it does not come with the chain this was only used for the pictures. We believe th is fixture is complete and the small brass round disk was the canopy meant ... moreto cover the electrical box but we are not 100% sure. So what you see in the pictures is what you will be getting. This is a bare bulb light fixture and was not meant to have lamp shad es. The bulbs shown in the pictures will not be included. Cast Iron Vintage Ornate Wall Sconce Lamp Holder + Milk Glass Shade Electric Light Lamp holder is approx. 11 1/2" from wall bracket to outside of holder. 13 1/2" from the very top of the shade to the very bottom of the holder itself. The part that holds the shade is 7" in diameter at the opening. The Lamp shade is milk glass, and has no chips or breaks, but does have one spot of paint as I have shown in the pictures…I'm sure it can be removed. There is an ornate key that you turn for on/off. The cord is in very good shape, and has an older plug as you can see. The light bulb will not be included. There is a bracket that you can put on the wall, then you slip the lamp into it to make a sconce. I don't know the exact age, found it at an estate. Antique Victorian Era, Black, Cast-Iron Gas Lamp Post/ light pole
This is a really nice old Victiorian era gas street light. Or yard light post. Don't know the exact age, but definitely old. It's very heavy, too, maybe as much as 200-300 pounds) but comes apart in 3 sections, which makes it much easier to transport(carred 2 in my Suburu Outback when i bought them) I am listing this as local pickup only, but if you want to purchase and have shipped, I would prefer that you make those arrangements yourself. I have electrified this for indoors. At one time I owned 2 and they were used as a headboard for a bed(actually pretty cool) They were electrified for that purpose. I have sold one already, and since we can no longer use this one in our home, though hesitant to sell, I really need to. if you have tall ceilings this is great for indoor use. It is 102 inches tall from the floor to the top of the ... morefinial above the light housing. It would be pretty simple to wire it for outdoor use, or even return it to gas. The individual I sold the other one to plans to convert his back to gas. This particular lamp came from the UK, either England, but possibly Wales. I can't find any marks on it, though, to definitively prove that. It has an access panel on the base(see pictures) with 2 screws holding it in place. Unfortunately, the screws are rusted solid, and will have to be re-tapped I imagine. The only other dimension I took was for the cross just below the lamp, it is 24 inches across. Will be glad to answer any questions you might have as promptly as possible.
