The taller one has sort of an art nouveau style pattern in the base and stands about 14 1/2" tall, one side of the top rim is dented. The shorter on is about 12" tall and has no design on the base. Both show wear and use, and could use a good cleaning, but no major damage or repairs.

They each have a FANTASTIC HUGE BOW that is screwed on each and DETAILED panels and scrolls and the top has a DIAMOND SHAPED 3 dimensional design on a HUGE oval and pointy"finial" type top to the sconces. These are MOST UNIQUE and I have NEVER in 40 years seen anything as large or as DIFFERENT as they are! They each measure 22" tall. 8" wide and sits 7 1/4" from the wall. The candle holder part can accomodate a glass globe(2 1/2" diameter for the base) although I don't know if this set ever had them. Appropriate age and patina, one area of mention is that one"flower bulb" on the very top of one of the sconces is slightly larger and different than the others, but only noticeable when you look for it(see last picture) I do not know the age of these, the general consensus has been manufacture sometime in the earlier part of the 1900's, from the 20's to the 50's. the metal looks to be tin. Beautiful pair of Antique Brass Sconces lighting
Matched pair of antique brass sconces that was in my bathroom in last house doesn't work with new house. I have owned these for over twenty years. Purchased at an antique shop in NJ. They have been rewired I think they were originally gas not sure they later put on switches to control each light. The fixtures are 19 inches tall and 12 inches wide at its widest point. The smaller glass is 5 inches tall by 4 inches wide there are two of them and the top light is 4 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches high none of my measurements are exact difficult to measure something round. They give a lot of light I always like how I had plenty of down light and an uplight effect.

PAIR OF BEAUTIFUL KEROSENE LIGHT FIXTURES
A beautiful pair of victorian kerosene lamps. Each lamp stands 30" in height. Shades are the large 14" diameter. Patina has been left and is wonderful. Base and wings are brass and could of course be polished and shined. Marble in base is white. Shades are a darker beige and all colors are in tact. There are several chips on the top rims of each shade-not visible from a side view when the brass finials are in place. The shade bodies and bottom rims are crack, chip and defect free. Each font has a double double wick and they produce very good light for any room. Great for power outages and ambiance. Will answer any questions promptly and thanks for looking.

Attention Collectors of unusual decor! A Pair of Vintage German Swivel Candle Holder/Wall Sconces in unbelievable condition! I bought these about 40 years ago from an antique store in Canada. They hung in the house for many years. It is time to let them go. The pair was made in Germany(stamped on each one) All these years later. They are still cool decor. Total sconce height( or base length when handheld) is about 8" width about 5" at widest. Candle holder part is about 2.5" and diameter for candle is about 1" The candle holder swivels when in motion when hand held, which helps to keep the candle level at all times. The interesting hammered metal design is functional, since the indentations would catch dripping wax as would the wells around each candle, for when they are hanging as sconces. The primitive look is fun, yet ... morefunctional, as these could be taken off the wall and used to walk in the dark. The candle holder part swings freely when held level. Unlike many similar items, they are rust free and have been well cared for. We have never painted over them; they are the same black color as when I bought them. Materials: The sconces are made out of bronzed brass cast and adorned with a stylized acanthus leaf below. The lampshades are made out of carved alabaster stone. Measurements: The length of each wall lamp is 9.1" 23 cm) Each light has a height of 5.1" 13 cm) The alabaster bowls have a diameter of 5.5" 14 cm) and a height of 2.4" 6 cm each) The weight of both lights is approx. 2.4 lbs(1,1 kg) Condition: Both wall lights are in very good.
