Antique 40's "Bag Style" Glass Chandelier 1 of set of 3 Boudoir Glam
Hi. I have here for auction an attractive Antique 1940's BAG STYLE CRYSTAL GLASS CHANDELIER, It comes complete with the original ceiling support hook which is unusual in itself, please see pic 7. This Chandelier was taken from an exclusive apartment opposite The Harrods department store in London. Knightsbridge 30 years ago by my fathers company. It is from a set of three matching chandeliers. Large 44 cm wide x 28 cm deep 7 Tier waterfall, Medium 30 cm wide x 28 cm deep 6 Tiers waterfall and Smaller 27 cm wide x 24cm deep"BAG" style chandelier. The only one for sale in this auction is this"BAG style" one. The others are listed separately(see pic 8 for a group shot) My fathers company had acquired the flat sort of accidentally in a company takeover/ buyout at the time. I would think the 3 chandeliers I have for sale ... morewould have been up in this flat for at least 20-30 years making the age of the chandeliers approx 50-60 years old. Fortunately when the company decided to renovate and modernise the apartment my father brought these amazing chandeliers home to the west midlands where they have lived ever since. Unfortunately I am now moving into a rented house for 18 months so must slim down. The Chandelier is absolutely spectacular and I have found it extremely difficult to photograph. To be honest it needs a really thorough clean so it will really sparkle. I have also recently done some research into its history and I now belive it is of excellent quality. It has 5 raised leaves from the upper tier from which a swag of crystals also drape around the top. The Top measures 10 inches or approx 27 cms across. The depth of the chandelier from the top of the leaves to the central flower shaped disc at the bottom measures approx 24 cm or approx 9 inches. ANTIQUE TWO TIER FRENCH CRYSTAL BAG CHANDELIER IN NICE CONDITION

This auction is for what I believe to be a French Chrystal Bag Design Chandelier. The crystals are rose cut crystals. That taper down from the top of the chandelier to the bottom of the bag in decreasing sizes and terminate in a crystal at the bottom. The bag measures approximately 5.5" in diameter drop of 8" excluding the chains. All of the crystals appear to original and in place with none missing. The crystals also appear to be in good aged condition. The chains terminate at the top of the light into a single hook that appears to be original. The band is made of concave brass and a leaf motif running around. The brass work does show signs of tarnishing due to the age of the item. The item will be posted wrapped ... morein bubble wrap. Boxed with chipping's. As you will be aware shipping may cause some of the droppers to become un hooked, we will take all care when packing. Beautiful Antique French Glass/Crystal Bag Chandelier, Brass Frame, 1ft Drop
A very elegant late Victorian bag chandelier displaying a combination of 141 octagonal buttons. Losenge droplets and one base rosette. A superior quality chandelier. With a solid brass hoop frame displaying classical foliate decoration, and a corona of six droplets suspended from the hoop. With a total drop of just over one foot. It is large enough to sit comfortably below a 40-50 inch wide ceiling rose, in any medium sized room. Measures 10 inches wide at the top. Catches the light beautifully and throws around spectrum coloured patterns. All crystals are in excellent order. One small amount of crazing on minor button the point of the brass link wire hole. But robust and difficult to find even under good light and close scrutiny. My camera struggled to pick it out, such is the impact. Mentioned purely for completeness. Weighty. A large glamorous crystal chandelier measuring 12inches across x 16inches deep(approx 19inches to ceiling) Having large crystal buttons graduating down to smaller at the base and terminating with a superb faceted crystal ball. It has twin horizontally set lights(standard bayonet) within the decorative gilt metal crown and a matching gilt ceiling cup above, all in very nice condition throughout- superb. Original chains and hooks. With just one or two suspended by nylon. Top layer diameter 14 inches. Height of the seven rings is 12 inches. Suspension chains are 10 inches long. Original to top hook has hole for cable and light fitting. Condition Report. Top ring is missing two double droppers. The very lowest ring. Title Stunning Antique French Empire Chandelier C1900, This is a fabulous antique French Empire chandelier with gilding and crystal studded frame. The central band is very ornate with ladies faces and foliate detail. The upper finial is also very ornate depicting flowers. This is a visually very striking chandelier. Faded splendour from another era.circa 1900. We have dismantled and cleaned it in our workshop. It was also completely rewired with all new electrical components including all new brass bulb holders. It has seven bulbs inside the frame so gives off plenty of light and looks stunning when lit. It is very nice condition considering it's age but it is over one hundred years old so expect signs of age and use. It is all complete including a replacement chain and ceiling fitting. The frame is metal and is in an antique chrome/ Nickel finish. Nice cut-out design& engraved detailing the tier give the pendant a regal appearance. Arranged as a 1-tier baguette frame this practical light simply attaches to a lamp/bulb holder so no electrician is required. Please however take care when hanging it! We are offering a brand new in box- basket/ baguette shaped chandelier light and have added 23 of our own chains of feature glass chandelier droplets. Each chain comprises of two pieces: 1x 14mm clear glass octagon linked to a 50mm Bright Red Pendalogue Leaf shaped drop = total depth of 71mm. These extra pieces give off an amazing multicolour dazzle and complement the light superbly. These extra pieces are provided for YOU to dress the light with and are not attached to the light. The chandelier ... morewill be provided part ready-made dressed with glass(not crystal) octagonal drops measuring 14mm diameter. The drops are linked together by means of matching silver rings to form chains of droplets. The round cage suspending the prism strings measures approx. 10" Diameter, then the unique manner the row of rectangular prisms are attached to the cage, it adds approx. another 1.5" for a total overall diameter of approx. 11.5" The drop of the prism basket is approx. 10" Long by itself. It does also come with the attached highly decorative chain(approx. 7" length) but as we have used this in a swag manner there is no upper ceiling cap included. Antique Fluted Glass & Crystal Dome Bag Chandelier with Graduated Octagons
PLEASE READ ITEM LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING! Antique Fluted Glass& Crystal Dome Bag Chandelier This light fitting was removed from a very old house as part of a re-wiring programme and the electrical wiring is no way guaranteed and would need to be looked at by an expert. The dome itself and the topper and round ball in between are undamaged but there is some discolouration. There is an old piece of chain on the top where it was attached to the ceiling with the supplied brass hook and it has a modern light bulb holder. The dome is 19 cm diameter and the whole fitting has a drop of 27 cm approx. The dome and rose are smooth on the outside with the fluted effect being on the inside and hanging below the dome is a bag formed by 18 strands of 6 graduated octagonal flat backed button crystals which drape into a clear ... moreglass finial. Some of the wires have been replaced and 3 of the strands need attention…they need rejigging and reattaching… all 18 crystals are present but are wired wrongly and the strands need reforming. This would need to be done by someone who knows what they are doing with the right tools and the right wire so I’m not even going to attempt it! There may be some minor knock or scratch damage to the crystals and they could use a professional clean– all I’ve done is to dunk them in warm water to remove some of the decades of grime and they sparkle well. There are other light fittings from the same property on separate listings. Will be well packed for courier delivery or can be collected in person from the south side of BATH.
