Vintage fixture. The chrome housing/ceiling canopy does show some minor blemishing to the finish relevant to age. I replaced the original socket. I had a box of unused older sockets that has the string type pull so the socket was a perfect companion to the fixture since the canopy piece does have an opening hole for the string to come through) The sockets shown in the last photo are not included with the auction listing. Box was pictured to show the socket used as a replacement is new old stock. No chips or cracks to the glass, the fitter end opening is 4" Shade is about 8 1/2" in diameter. About 6 1/4" tall. The lower sections are clear glass with intricate designs. A metal band holds the pieces together. The fitter. Chain, ... moreand canopy are all nickel-plated. While the shades are vintage, these components are not. I could have used very simple vintage metal fittings but the shades so clearly needed something dramatic. I hope you agree(particularly as the nickel fittings were quite expensive! The sockets and wiring are also new. Of course. The wire is cloth-covered like the original. Fixtures such as these were used in ice cream parlors. Department stores, and other commercial settings. Today they are prized for residential use, and would be a knock-out in a kitchen or bathroom. I can also see the pair close together over a rectangular dining table. DETAILS: The fixtures each accept one standard base 150W bulb. As noted above. The nickel fittings are not vintage. The shades are vintage. COLOR: White glass. Clear glass. Nickel. SIZE: The fixtures are now 42-inches long. I can remove up to 15-inches of chain. I can add chain. For your consideration is this Art Deco kitchen ceiling light from the 1930's to 1940's. The shade is in great condition. With no chips or cracks. The chrome fixture does have some rust under the chrome, causing it to bubble a bit as pictured, but this is only on part of the fixture. The rest of the chrome has light scratchesl. The bottom has rings that are partially clear and partially white. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks. There is minor wear to the white at the outer bottom edge of the widest section. This can be seen in a couple of the photos if you look closely, not to be confused with the white reflection spots. The chrome shade holder is new, with a new porcelain socket and new wiring, including a ground wire. The light hangs down 7-1/2 inches, and measures 8-1/4 inches wide. The shade has a 4" fitter. For your consideration is this beautiful Art Deco light fixture from the 1920' or 30's. The glass shade is absolutely stunning with it's lavender hue due to decades of exposure to the UV rays of the sun. The bottom part of the shade is clear glass. With great Art Deco fan designs in the glass. The light measures 12" tall by 8" wide and the shade drops down from the holder 7 1/4" The ceiling mount is 5 1/2" and has it's mounting hanger attached. The chrome is in great condition, only some light scratches in the finish and a bit of copper showing through from polishing, photo#7 shows best the degree of copper, subtle. Please note in photo#6 that there is a small hole, in the photo it is on the right side. The light must have had a pull chain originally. The light has been rewired. A white baked or fired on finish, and clear diamond type patterns with ribbed borders around the"face" The mounting hole(fitter end) is just under 3 1/4" across to the outer edges(3 3/16" to be more exact) And flares slightly inward just below this where mounting screws would snug up to it. It measures approximately 5 3/8" tall. By approximately 5 1/2" by 4 3/8" across the rectangular area. It is in good condition with the exception of a couple minor nicks on the fitter rim which will not be seen when mounted in place. No other chips. Cracks, or damage. The steel fixture has been refinished in an off-white color, and includes a new porcelain socket and new wiring. The condition is excellent. No chips or cracks. Beautiful! This fixture takes a single standard base light bulb. 100 watt maximum. The light hangs down 10" to the bottom of the shade, and measures 8 inches wide. Description: This fantastic light fixture has a glass shade that is a light pink color and is in the shape of an upside down pyramid. Each of the four sides has a clear prismatic band that goes up the center to amplify the light. Beautiful! The upper border of the shade is also clear where it meets the silver-colored mounting base. The condition is excellent. With no chips or cracks. The metal base is also in fantastic condition. The fixture is 4-3/4 inches tall and measures 11" square, 14" diagonally.
