Antique Vintage 1920's Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture-5 Amber Slip Glass Shades
This is a beautiful old slip shade chandelier circa 1920's. The condition is excellent with minimal wear and no breaks or cracks in the glass shades. The switch and wiring are very good and could be used but should be examined for suitability of your intended use. The total diameter of the fixture is 18" and 26" tall including the chain(the body is 14" tall and the chain section is 12" long. Each glass shade is approximately 6" in diameter. Thank you!

Matching pair of 1930's interior wall sconces w/ custard glass shades. Metal sconce components are cast aluminum. Shades have a pink/purplish white in natural light and a warm custard color when illuminated from the interior. Fixtures have been disassembled. Stripped, repainted, reassembled, and rewired. One shade does have a small crack at the bottom, see image 4. It does not show when the shade is installed. Each measures 12" tall x 4 1/4" wide x 6" deep. Shade is 5" wide. I DON'T KNOW THE MAKER OR THE EXACT AGE, BUT THESE ARE LIKELY FROM THE LATE 1920s OR 1930s. THEY HAVE A CIRCULAR FITTER THAT HAS AN OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT OF 1 5/8 INCHES. ART DECO Chandelier 5 Slip Shades + Drop-In Bottom Light ANTIQUE Peachy Glass
IMMEDIATE– PROFESSIONALLY PACKED– FULLY INSURED- SHIPPING Buyer pays actual cost of fully insured shipping. Very safely packed. All Customs forms will state the actual selling price of items shipped internationally. A few short weeks ago. This very cool chandelier hung in a home near Cincinnati, but now it is here– selling on eBay. People’s lives change, sometimes beginning accidentally or ending unexpectedly. It is approximately 17” to 18” diameter. Being a five-shade fixture, one can measure it two or three different ways. It currently set up with a total drop of 16” when measured from the upper bell where the five chains meet, down to the bottom of the drop-in shade. Total drop from the ceiling is 27” but that is a meaningless measurement since links can be added or replaced at will. Even if you have a 24 foot ceiling in you breakfast ... morenook, all it takes is a trip to your local hardware store for chain and wire, and you can make it hang three feet above your table. The frame was painted brassy gold some years ago. And they did a great job. I’d say the fixture is spelter or some sort of strong metal other than brass or iron. That picture makes me wish I’d at least dusted it a little. See what I mean about the nice quality of the painted finish? The original wiring remains to the hub. But the wire from there up is of more recent vintage. It works. I’ve seen it all lit up. Notice a fragment of the maker’s label on top of the hub? I’ll bet I could find the name of the maker using that fragment. But I’m already so far behind there is little hope of every catching up. My yellow arrow points to a chip so shallow I can’t get a photo of it. It’s hidden anyway. There are also a few surface dings around the outer edges of the drop-in bottom shade. There again. As is typical for Chase, beautifully made, heavy, and of the highest quality. There are two curious historical details. I have a 1937 Chase catalog with the chandelier pictured. But the finish is only offered as“weathered brass” or“pewter and gold” This chandelier is black. And there can be no doubt that the color is original. Also, the shades are different than those shown in the catalog. They are very similar and each features grape clusters and leaves. But the catalog shades are more overtly“colonial” in style, while the ones shown here are more 1930s streamlined. 4 NUART Art Deco Carnival Glass Shades On 4 Arm Brass Antique Chandelier Fixture
This is a wonderful antique brass and frosted glass shade 4 arm chandelier with 4 matching NUART Art Deco carnival glass shades. I believe it dates from the 1920s or 1930s. The shades have a beautiful amber color. They each have a fluted pattern on the inside of the shade. They have lightly etched grapes and leaves. Each is marked on the rim NUART. There are no chips or cracks on any of them. However. One of them has tiny thin scratches on the inside around the middle. The only way I can describe them is that someone tried to fit a lightbulb in it that was too big and it made tiny scratch marks along the inside. Unfortunately, I was unable to photograph them. The shades alone could be used for a FRANKART lamp or fixture also. The brass fixture is not marked with a maker's name. The arms have a great Art Deco pattern. It is in very good ... morecondition for its age except that it has a number of tiny 1/8 inch cracks along the rim on top. Approximately 15 of them. They look to have been there for a long time and do not look like they will break any more as the brass is securely fastened to the other piece of brass. It's a very sturdy piece. It also has a wonderful etched frosted glass center dome. The dome has some little dark marks on it and some dirt around the rim which I could not get off. But which don't show much. There is a tiny chip on the lip, approximately 1/4 inch wide. There are a few other flea bites around the rim which do not affect its structure. The shades are each approximately 5 1/2 inches tall(14 cm) Their main opening is 3 7/8 inches wide(9.8 cm) The fitter openings are 2 1/4 inches across(5.7 cm) The frosted glass dome is 12 inches wide(31 cm) It is 5 1/2 inches deep(14 cm) It's lip measures 9 7/8 inches across(25 cm) The main brass fixture is 21 inches wide(53 cm) The round part is 13 inches wide(33 cm) It measures 32 inches from the top of the ceiling attachment to the bottom of the shades(81 cm) I believe it was rewired within the last 30 years. Consideration for your restoration. Pair chrome plated Art deco sconces with opalescent glass slip shades. They are a solid heavy pair of sconces made of some type of cast non magnetic metal. The chrome is in excellent shape with only small amounts of light scratches and nicks. The wire and socket both look good. A nice set of very old art deco/ arts& crafts chandelier lamp shades. Cream/ custard glass. yellowish- off white) Set of 7. Dimensions are Neck opening diameter 1 1/2" Top Opening diameter 3 3/4" Overall diameter 5 1/2" Height 3" These look great lit. A nice soft light. Weight is about 1/2 lb each. The clear& frosted glass shades have a lovely ruffled edge and pleat design. The pleats are frosted on one side and clear on the other side. It gives the appearance of a very light frosting. No chips or cracks and they have a lovely bell tone when flipped with your finger. The gracefully curved arms have an engraved design on them. The chandelier is in the mission/craftsman design and features all original parts. The paddle switches are stamped Perkins. The chandelier features a two arm design with brass crossbar. The chain is very nice and features squared links. The fixture is meant to fit flush against the ceiling. The chandelier has two glass shades which are from the Art Deco(1920s) period. They measure approximately 4 1/4" tall(one is slightly taller) By approximately 3" across the top openings. The smaller fitter ends measure just over 1 5/8" across to the outer edges. Both are in very good condition. And have no chips or cracks overall. There is minor roughness with some small chiggers to the small fitter rims which is typical on rough cut shades. 2 Antique White Glass VITROLITE Ceiling Light Fixtures w/Shades Art Deco Chrome Hello Bidders, Thank you for stopping here to look. In this auction I have a pair of vintage or antique ceiling light fixtures with shades. Both are made of white glass"Vitrolite" that was used in businesses and homes. Mainly bathrooms in the early 1900's into the mid-century. The pair I have are stacked square ceiling mount. They still have porcelain and brass hardware or sockets that can be removed. They have a brass chrome plated fitter with three screws. The shades are also made of vitrolite. Not white milk glass. This glass is more opaque. They are round bell like shaped. The fixtures size is 6" x 6" square flush to the ceiling. The fitter for the shades. This is the chrome part, 2-1/2" d. The drop with the shades is 7-3/4" ... moreand the bottom of the shades is 6-3/4"d. Their condition is very good. Not chips, cracks, or repairs. There are tiny nicks or fleabites around the top of the shade that goes into the fitter. This cant be seen when put together. There are holes in the fixtures for screwing them up to the ceiling and one other hole for a switch if needed. These fixtures have a nice Art Deco period look. Thank you again for looking.
