While the shades are vintage, these components are not. I could have used very simple vintage metal fittings but the shades so clearly needed something dramatic. Vintage 1930s Art Deco Ceiling Light Lamp Fixture Chandelier GIll Lighting MFG
I have a second matching fixture if you need 2 of these. This has normal wear to the finish you would expect but it is mostly on the bottom round disc and the price is greatly discounted so you can have it copper plated or painted or leave it as is. As you can see it is working. These are normally found installed in Banks and Upscale Homes. The FRAGILE Glass Shade has an alabaster appearance with a filigree banding surrounding the top edge. It's just beautiful to see in person. And this is a signature of a high end Gill MFG light. The shade is held to the fixture by three adjustable chains which are attached to a metal shade below the glass shade. The fixture has a aged copper finish and features fluted column sides. When Lit. In fact I used the same photographs because I could see no difference between the two. Attributed to the Virden Lighting Company of Cleveland Ohio. How unusual to have a matching pair. 16 inches tall with a 6 inch opening. Black enamel accenting is nice. You are bidding on a Gorgeous Art Deco Lighting Fixture by Lincoln Mfg. of Detroit. C.1935 They had a contract with Sears for a few years and this is from the Sears Hi-Glo Lighting Catalog in the Glen Falls Series. This fixture is for a Flush Ceiling Mount or a Horizontal Wall Mount. You cannot hang this vertically or the slip shade will fall out. I have seen reproductions of this piece online and stated as reproductions. Based on the wiring of this piece I believe it's original. I would suggest due to the age of the wiring that you have it re-wired for your safety. Also the reproductions of this piece have not captured the color or patina that this lovely piece has. Truly a conversation piece. The original catalog listing lists it as"cast metal" gold colored finish. Tinted with color" The slip shade is referred to as"Satin ... moreRose" The fixture is made of metal and measures 16" x 8.25" x 7" The slip shades themselves measure 6" x 3.75" x 3" The metal fixture is in very good condition. Light over paint brush strokes on the edges in some places where the mount would meet the wall as can be seen in the pictures from someone tried painting the ceiling around the fixture. Warm lovely patina. Please use the zoom feature as the pictures offer the best description. Light bulbs are not included. I have seen recommended for this fixture low heat LED bulbs which makes sense since it is a flush mount. I have seen them online for purchase at vintagehardware The slip shades are a lovely mauve or light pink(original catalog calls them Satin Rose) and are in very good condition. The normal flea bites on the edges from being slid in and out when changing bulbs but nothing that can be seen from the outside when slid in mount. Antique Vintage Lighting Industrial Aluminum Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture 30's
Description This listing is for a set of 10(ten) 1930's Vintage Light Fixtures. They were made by Curtis Lighting out of Chicago. As you can tell by the pictures. Everything that is in the picture is what you will be receiving. These fixtures are aluminum and in great shape to be from the 30's. They originally came out of a 2-story department store and have been sitting in the second story of this store ever since they replaced the lighting with florescent lights. The fixtures have been in the same store the entire time and very well cared for all these years. I have 10 of the actual large round light fixtures which if you look closely at the 10th picture. You can tell there is a gap on the under side which allows light to be reflected onto the ceiling. There may be some small area's with a few tiny rust spots, but not very noticeable ... moreas you can tell by the pictures. There are four layers and a shiny top which adds to the look of the fixture itself. These measure from the base to the tip of the top approximately 8 1/2 inches. The diameter measuring from the bottom outer edge is approximately 21 3/8" wide. I have 6 of the cone shaped pieces that fit into the larger round fixture itself. They have 3 longer pieces that attach onto the cone. At the bottom of these. There is a prong which simply slips into the fixture. I am missing one of the longer pieces which attach to the cone, however, you could easily make one yourself. As you can tell by the pictures, one of them is even held on by a screw(which could be cut down more flush to make it not as noticeable) Hanging from the ceiling-it would not be noticeable at all. These measure 12 3/4" measuring from the ground standing on the 3 prongs to the tip of the cone. The cone itself measures 8 3/4" and the diameter of the smaller hole on the top of the cone measures 3/4" The widest part of the cone at the bottom measures 3 3/16" I have 6 of the ceiling fixtures that attach to the top of the ceiling. The fixture itself is made out of aluminum and has a milk glass bottom and clear glass top right above the fixture. The top of the fixture which fits into the ceiling is aluminum. This light is in excellent shape. Just has a few scratches on the yellow part and the milk glass part and minor ones on the silver. The milk glass part in the picture shows to be a little crooked. However, it is moveable and will adjust so it will not be crooked. The inside of the fixture has two places for light bulbs. It is held together by a moveable and adjustable(by screws) pieces that attach to the aluminum fixture itself. The glass insert has not been cleaned. However it still looks great! Antique glass ceiling light fixture shade. It has an Art Deco style and it is a center hole mounted type. This will fit most older and newer type fixtures. Has a very nice clear sculptured skirt and center. The flat glass is white. It is 12" across and 3 1/2" deep. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks that I could see. There is some light discoloration as shown in the pictures, it is hard to see. Very nice and unique shaped shade. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge.
