Up for sale today is a one of a kind table runner. This was purchased from the estate of the original owner apx 20 years ago. My understanding is that it was made in the 1910's- 20's for the mans wife. This is hand crafted one of a kind item. The background is green suede. The condition is very good shows very little if any wear the colors are still very bright. It measures apx 42" long and 21" wide. I used this on top of a Mission Style Oak Buffet. Classic Camark Art Pottery Flower Vase Arts & Crafts Mission Style Matte Rose
Featured in this auction is a really beautiful. Vintage Camark flower vase. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing and no repairs. This piece is identified as shape#411, a paneled vase with carved"ornaments" on two sides that extend down to the base. It is 4-1/4" tall, 2-1/2" wide at the base and about 4-1/2" wide at the shoulder. The base of the pottery is stamped CAMARK with the"1st block letter" impressed die stamp. This stamp dates the piece from the late 1920's to the early 1930's. The base was also ground to level the piece. The vase has a beautiful arts and crafts form with the art deco decoration and multiple panels encircling it. This thick, gorgeous glaze is a matte rose color that has curdled on parts of the vase, including inside the rim, giving it a soft ... moreglow. This is a fabulous piece from the arts and crafts era. There is also evidence of glaze pinholes, miniscule dimples and interior scratches, but it is still relatively clean. Check out all 8 photos! Classic Camark Art Pottery Green Flower Vase Arts & Crafts Mission Style #202
Featured in this auction is a beautiful. Vintage flower vase made by Camark Pottery. The finish is a combination of matte glazes with an underglaze of deep ocean green and a paler blue overdrip. This glaze effect on the vase is stunning and gives the piece a true arts and crafts feel to it. The vase has two embellishments that give the effect of ringed handles. This early piece is not marked, but it is identified in the Collector's Guide to Camark Pottery reference book by Gifford as shape#202. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips. No cracks, no crazing and no repairs; however, it is obvious that the piece was gently used because of the numerous stray marks, scratches and scuffs, both inside and out, that are present. They are not nearly as obvious on the actual piece as they appear in the enlarged photos. The base shows the ... morebeautiful glaze drip where the bottom was ground to level the jar. The base is a seperate piece of copper. The vase part has an original steel plate formed into the bottom with a brass bolt that runs through and a nut on the bottom holding the base on( nut seems to me to be a replacement) This is thick heavy copper weighing in at 2lbs. total. A part of me really wants to call this Mission Style Vase WW1 Trench Art but the style is just so accurate to the Arts and Crafts movement I tend to lean back toward a Mission Artisan of the day. A very dainty pair of glass shades for a sconce fixture. They are quite small measuring just 3" in height. They are 3" across the bottom. 4" wide in total. The hole in the brass fitting on top is 1" I pictured them with a small 15 W decorative bulb for size comparison. For bid is this unique unmarked mission style foot stool. It doubles as a cabinet and would be great for the quilter or knitter. Constructed of Oak and the top is an early vinyl type material. It would be easy to refinish in a leather if you'd like. Joints and hinges are all in great shape and intact. There are some scuffs and scratches that come with age. But overall in great shape. I believe it had a past life as a pencil holder, you can see pencil pen evidence on the inside of the glazed pot and a pencil mark or two on the rim of the outside. No cracks, hairlines, crazing, or repairs. Marked in block letters Nemadji Pottery and 123 stamped on the bottom and 98 written in pencil. Up for auction is a classic Arts& Crafts Mission Style green two handled jardinière. It stands 4" tall. The rim measures 4 1/2" across. From handle to handle it measures approximately 5 3/4" across. The foot measures 3" across. The jardinière has no maker's mark. This pot is often attributed to Roseville. The glaze is a glossy bluish green. There are several manufacturing flaws(glaze skips and pops) inside and outside of the pot- see pics. The jardinière is made up of four panels with two tab handles at the top which resemble ears. I am inspired by Prairie Style architecture and art glass and I have a fascination with the proportions of a well-balanced clock face. My designs typically begin by creating a clock face that incorporates complex. But unified details such as fonts, art glass motifs inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and functional geometry. I work in CAD software until I am pleased with the core layout, then I mimic the clock face design in the lattice work of the clock’s base. I have the face printed on high quality photographic paper. This clock body is made of 50 individual pieces of figured rock maple and is built with true through mortise and tenon joints.
