Vtg. Antique Brass Hanging Electric Ceiling Light! Lamp! Victorian! Chandelier
I have two of these listed so if you need a matching set please view it's mate. I listed separate because most of the time people only need one. This wonderful antique light measures 23 inches wide/round and 18 inches tall. The chain and the part that attaches to the ceiling are an additional 20 inches. But of course, the chain can be shortened to adjust to the height of your ceiling. I personally would replace the chain and rewire the lamp due to age. For its age, it's in excellent shape, and I can find very little wear. There is a bit of scuffing and the metal has tarnished a little bit in spots. That would be mainly on the chain and such though, as the body of the lamp is just great. The bulbs need replace and you can chose the bulb of your choice. Antique vtg Victorian 2 arm + 4" fitter chandelier light fixture Beardslee mark
Victorian era light made by Beardslee(stamped"B" in a fleur de lis on the canopy) This light was painted in heavy paint and I was able to strip just about all of it. Still some in corners and crevasses. The fixture has 3 socket shells but none of them have their guts so you'll need to get 2 turnkey sockets for the 2 1/4" fitters and one keyless socket for the 4" downward facing fitter socket. The canopy has some light bending in places as do the fitters. Complete with all screws. I did have to add a short piece of tubing and it's not quite the same color as the original(see photo 3) I have added new all-thread AND a mounting crossbar so all you need is socket parts and wiring to get this light up and lit. 13" long to the tip of the fitter and 18" wide. Disassembled for shipping.

The fitters are a standard 2 1/4" diameter. Ornate quality workmanship. Cast Inside the arms: PAT'D NOV 1920" Solid brass top to bottom including the chain and the fitter screws. The only part not brass is the cast metal flower medallion. All parts have been buffed and clear coated. All fitter screws in place. Good threads. One socket bell cover and ring have been replaced with near identical parts. Shown. All joints are snug. Standard size paddle switch sockets. Sockets ... morerated at 250w-250v. Strong clicks. Antique Vtg Victorian Gold Red Arts & Crafts 5 Arm Chandelier Hanging Fixture
This is an original antique 5 arm chandelier with ornate floral leaves. Scrolls, and beading throughout, suspended from a chain with a ceiling canopy. The chandelier is gold gilt with a few red accents(in the diamond shapes on the post and on the disc insert that shows through the pierced bottom) I don't know if the red metal disc that is visible from the bottom is original to the piece because the paint looks newer, but it fits inside perfectly and adds some nice color. There are some scuffs in the paint on the disc and on the rest of the chandelier and some general wear, some dusty residue, and darkening to the finish from age. One of the decorative round scrolled pieces at the end of one of the arms is slightly bent, but it is not very noticeable. The chandelier needs to be re-wired and has not been tested. So I don't know if the ... moresockets work. The sockets use standard bulbs and all have a cardboard socket cover that looks like a candle with wax dripping down the sides. The socket covers are all worn with frayed edges and loss to the finish, but none are torn and they are still useable. A decorative metal pendant most likely hung from the bottom of the chandelier at one time. But it was replaced with a glass prism. The ceiling canopy isn't ornate like the chandelier and has the appearance of hammered copper, so I don't know if it was original to the fixture, but it looks good and is from the same period. I don't have a mounting bracket for it and it is missing the set screw that holds the bell-shaped ceiling canopy in position on the stem, so it frequently slides down the stem. The chandelier measures about 20" in diameter and hangs down about 24" from the ceiling.
