Here is a very ornate. Solid brass, I believe, hanging lamp lantern on its own solid brass and iron stand. I am quite certain this is solid brass- It is non magnetic, very heavy, the lamp weighs over 9 lbs. The whole lamp measures just under 24" tall, The lantern intself measures 7" square and between 10- 11" in height. The base of the stand is also solid brass, and the rest of the stand is iron(magnetic) The lantern portion is very ornate and has 4 unbroken glass, tiny checkerboard, panels in it. One of the panels is loose and not attached to the lamp, but is not broken. The lamp is in excellent working condition as can be seen in the first picture. The only other thing wrong with it is that is needs a new brass cap screw for the top of it- one of the original is missing and currently has a regular screw in place. This is Left hand and Right hand fists holding a torch with torch shade. These are solid brass and weigh about 4lbs a piece. They are wired to light a standard base 60W light. Offered for your consideration is this really neat Art Deco Slip Shade Solid Brass or Bronze light fixture with diagonal brass balls that come apart.So you can repaint them when refurbishing it.The chain is the only thing that is not brass on the fixture. NOTE: This is a really heavy fixture without the shades. Has some paint loss as seen in pictures.All the sockets have been replaced.So you can use any wattage bulbs you wish.The internal wiring is good,but the wire leading up to the canopy will need to be replaced(not long enough)Shades look good when in the fixture. Very Rare! Fantastic Find! These 3 sconces are solid brass with milky white heavy glass globes. The globes are marked"KLIEGL BROS. N.Y.C. and"JEFFERSON 2992" They make a beautiful set and will add a touch of nostalgia or Steam Punk atmosphere. I believe the sconces are from a theater as the Kliegl Brothers made theater spotlights and exit lights and sconces. I have searched the Internet and cannot find these lights. The lights are in non-restored condition with a beautiful patina. They have toggle switches. Are wired and complete with light bulbs. I do not know if they work. One sconce appears to be cut possibly to fit in a tight location. Please see the photos for details. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ORNATE SOLID BRASS 6 LIGHT GOLD COLOR CHANDELIER MADE IN SPAIN
The last few photos show the chandelier when it was originally acquired. My husband has since meticulously cleaned. Polished, and partially restored it to its present condition-and it has turned out beautifully. The photos show different stages of restoration, but please keep in mind we made sure it still retained it's"patina" so it does show age. You can clearly see the difference. All the plastic"faux" plastic candle housings are present. There is damage to one(see photo) but it can be turned so that it cannot be seen from below. The wiring we used to test it will not be included. But of course, all the internal wiring is. The chandelier is approximately 19-1/2 inches across and 19-1/2 inches tall to the top of the hanging ring(measurement does not include the ceiling plate, and the length of the chains) Please keep ... morein mind there are no crystals with this chandelier, but I believe replacements are easy to come by. I had every intention of doing this myself, but alas, I couldn't find a place I wanted to install it, so I am moving it on. Based on the electric parts I think it is about from the 1940's.
