1930's Vintage Antique Ship Steering Wheel Light Fixture - Brass/Pewter
This auction is for a Vintage/Antique brass/pewter metal 1930's lighting fixture. This fixture is an original from our home that was built in the early 1930's. The measurement of the fixture is approximately 12" x 7" I do not know much about this light fixture other than it was an original fixture. The fixture appears to be brass and some sort of pewter(the ship steering wheel. The light bulb domes are made of a frosted glass. There are star"cut outs" in the brass part of the fixture that are attached to the glass domes. The glass domes are in good shape. No cracks or broken glass. The brass needs a good polishing, and the wiring is the old knob and tube wiring, so it would need to be rewired. This is a really unique nautical style fixture and would be wonderful for a collector or someone who is looking for a nautical ... moreantique lighting fixture. VINTAGE ANTIQUE PEWTER LIGHTING SCONCE WITH FROSTED GLASS SHADES BY GERINGER
I was told this lighting sconce is an antique pewter but not 100% sure. Made by Geringer. GIM 616 imprinted in back. It is absolutely beautiful! It's weight is 4lbs. The base is 6" high. With shades it measures 9" high. The width is 13"with the shades on) It was owned by my grandmother for over 40 years so I'm not certain of it's age. It could use a cleaning and rewiring. ANTIQUE RARE 1920'S PEWTER TYPE OIL LAMP WALL SCONCE LIGHT SPANISH TUDOR MISSION
Up for consideration is a rare antique oil lamp style electric wall sconce light. It appears to be made of silver hammered cast iron with a look of pewter. It will go nicely in most Spanish revival and English Tudor decors.actually most any for a pretty antique style. It has been wired for electric. We were told when we purchased our home the lights were from the 1800's(not sure of the lights but our home was built in the 1800's) and used as a wall sconce oil lamps but were wired for electric about the 1920's. The glass is in excellent condition. Very pretty on with a low watt light bulb. We do have 7 more of these single lights. One double and two hanging chandeliers. They all have the same glass, all match and are all in excellent condition. Very well taken care of. I cannot verify the date or authentic information as of right ... morenow, I am only noted what I was told, we are going to take one apart and check for any markings or dates. Description Antique Restored 1930's Pewter Art Deco 5 Light Slip Shade Chandelier This Original Antique Is Ready To Hang. Antique Art Deco slip shade five(5) light chandelier has it's original finish that has been cleaned and rejuvenated. The brushed pewter finished frame is made of cast aluminum with wonderful Art Deco styling and gold paint relief finish. The original finish has some wear but has lots of character. The large geometric decorated center support is awesome with swirled and pointed shapes that really show off this Art Deco style. This light is finished off by it's hanging tassel with blue and red accented polychrome paint finish. Gorgeous solid pewter fixture. Beautiful detail. My guess is mid 60s.Wiring is in excellent condition three bulbs work although one looks burnt out. 16 inch spread. Center mounting Rod included. Fixture has integrated switch. Switch knob is missing. Switch could easily be changed out or bypassed and switched at wall. This fixture is solid construction.
