This is a highly detailed decorative hanging lamp/ Lantern it stands approx 20" tall by 13" wide. I believe it is made of cast Iron. It is black with Blue Lighting on each side. Antique Cut Glass Electric Hanging Lamp Chandelier Lighting Fixture Vtg 20th C Description Original Vtg Early 20th Century Electric Small Cut Glass Hanging Lamp Chandelier Lighting Fixture GREAT CONDITION This small cut glass hanging lamp/ chandelier is from the early 20th century and still has its original fittings. And white ceramic wheel at the top to accommodate movement. The bottom of the lamp is 10" in diameter with a scalloped edge and 24 wire ties where prisms hung. THE ORIGINAL PRISMS ARE MISSING. The ties are 1 1/2" apart and between each of them are oval"dimples. The simple motif is echoed in the top of the fixture, which is 4" in diameter at the upward opening. The scallops are sharper in the top piece and there are also oval"dimples" between the peaks. The glass is in excellent condition and there ... moreare tiny bubbles in the old glass. The fixture measures approx. 12" tall overall(not including the chain) And the globe is approx. 7 1/2" wide at the widest point. This lamp is in Excellent Condition and is ready to be wired. The last 3 rings on the chain are not original. You can refer to the pictures. The lamp has it's original hanging chain and wiring with a ground wire on the outside and the 2 electric wires being wired to the light socket which is porcelain. Antique Brass Hanging Lighting Fixture, Painted Black, For Restoration
This very old hanging porch lantern is brass under the black paint. It was electrified at some point but would need to be rewired. The bulb receptacle contraption looks like a fairly new addition and I'm quite certain that it was originally made to hold a candle or lantern. I have removed the glass panes as they were loose and will ship more safely. They have a slight texture. Are dirty and two of the four have a couple of chips around the edges. The lamp has little notches into which they should fit but it might be necessary to use glue to keep them in place. I'm not sure if the chain which seems to be made of iron is original to the lamp. The fixture is about 12" long and about 6-1/2" wide at the widest point. The length of the chain is about 13" We acquired the piece at an industrial salvage auction and it was presented ... moreas a piece from a pre-1900s home in SE CT.
