The paper insulators are new. The vertical wires are also new. And cloth-covered. Nice. I show 60W clear appliance-sized bulbs. And think these look very well. Originally, people would have likely used carbon-filament bulbs. Available still, these look about the same as what I show, but are way higher in price and way lower in wattage. The set retains all its essential components. Including the very distinctive finials, socket rings, and chains. And. Of course, it’s really nice having a matched pair. DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs. The ball finial looks like someone used a vise-grip on it at some point. Closer inspection reveals this to be a manufacturing irregularity. This is hard to see way up on the ceiling. The patina may in fact be an original oil-rubbed finish. COLOR: Brass with bronze-like patina. SIZE: The fixture hangs down 30-inches. These are"estate fresh" hanging gas lights.I am not an expert so not sure if parts are missing or what they need. I provided plenty of photos so please look them over. There are two double hanging lights and a single with 2 canopy parts. Two ceiling canopies have cracks. One double and the single. The other has a small chunk missing along the edge. Vintage Antique Hunter Emerson Electric Ceiling Fan w/Lighting Brass & Cast Iron
This vintage antique Hunter or Emerson ceiling fan. I'm not sure which 100% as I haven't yet found a makers name on it, it has layers and layers of old paint on it and it would appear to still be intact and its very ornate as you can see in the photos, it appears to be made of cast iron and brass and the blades are aluminum, it also retains the pull chain which operates it as well, we recovered this fine little piece this last summer on a picking trip we took last summer in up state New York, we meaning my brother and I have a childhood friend who is in the demolition business and sometimes he calls us when there's time enough to salvage parts of buildings, this fan was still hardwired and was working inside the old courthouse that was being thrown down, we were only able to save a couple of these due to scrappers having been ... morethere ahead of us.
