And reached the height of its popularity in the late 1930s. Emerald City. In the movie Wizard of Oz. Is Moderne gone Hollywood. Many lighting fixtures labeled Art Deco are more accurately Moderne. The fixture accepts a 500W bulb. This brilliance is thrown back up to the ceiling. Resulting in a bright but highly diffused light quality. Originally. This fixture would have been used in a commercial setting like a department store. Today, such a fixture is prized in residential settings. It would, for example, be a knock-out in a kitchen. With new wiring. This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: The fixture accepts one Mogul-base 500W bulb. COLOR: Silver. SIZE: See above. CONDITION: I love writing this: there’s no damage. There are subtle surface dings. Scratches, and small spotting. None of this is readily obvious. There is no pitting. The fixture is aluminum. This seems to have a clear lacquer finish. And with some areas painted silver(note how the shade is two-toned) The paint on the ceiling canopy was badly scratched. I’m very pleased to offer a PAIR of stunning Art Deco pendant fixtures! I mean. Wow! The shades are in two parts. The upper sections are white glass with a striking reverse fluting. Nice. The lower sections are clear glass with intricate designs. A metal band holds the pieces together. The fitter. Chain, ... moreand canopy are all nickel-plated. While the shades are vintage, these components are not. I could have used very simple vintage metal fittings but the shades so clearly needed something dramatic. I hope you agree(particularly as the nickel fittings were quite expensive! The sockets and wiring are also new. Of course. The wire is cloth-covered like the original. Fixtures such as these were used in ice cream parlors. Department stores, and other commercial settings. Today they are prized for residential use, and would be a knock-out in a kitchen or bathroom. I can also see the pair close together over a rectangular dining table. DETAILS: The fixtures each accept one standard base 150W bulb. As noted above. The nickel fittings are not vintage. The shades are vintage. COLOR: White glass. Clear glass. Nickel. SIZE: The fixtures are now 42-inches long. I can remove up to 15-inches of chain. I can add chain. The shades are almost 10-inches wide with 6-inch fitters. CONDITION: The white shades have some chipping at their fittings ends. This cannot be seen. Antique Vintage Lighting Industrial Aluminum Art Deco Ceiling Light Fixture 30's
Description This listing is for a set of 10(ten) 1930's Vintage Light Fixtures. They were made by Curtis Lighting out of Chicago. As you can tell by the pictures. Everything that is in the picture is what you will be receiving. These fixtures are aluminum and in great shape to be from the 30's. They originally came out of a 2-story department store and have been sitting in the second story of this store ever since they replaced the lighting with florescent lights. The fixtures have been in the same store the entire time and very well cared for all these years. I have 10 of the actual large round light fixtures which if you look closely at the 10th picture. You can tell there is a gap on the under side which allows light to be reflected onto the ceiling. There may be some small area's with a few tiny rust spots, but not very noticeable ... moreas you can tell by the pictures. There are four layers and a shiny top which adds to the look of the fixture itself. These measure from the base to the tip of the top approximately 8 1/2 inches. The diameter measuring from the bottom outer edge is approximately 21 3/8" wide. I have 6 of the cone shaped pieces that fit into the larger round fixture itself. They have 3 longer pieces that attach onto the cone. At the bottom of these. There is a prong which simply slips into the fixture. I am missing one of the longer pieces which attach to the cone, however, you could easily make one yourself. As you can tell by the pictures, one of them is even held on by a screw(which could be cut down more flush to make it not as noticeable) Hanging from the ceiling-it would not be noticeable at all. These measure 12 3/4" measuring from the ground standing on the 3 prongs to the tip of the cone. The cone itself measures 8 3/4" and the diameter of the smaller hole on the top of the cone measures 3/4" The widest part of the cone at the bottom measures 3 3/16" I have 6 of the ceiling fixtures that attach to the top of the ceiling. Antique Vintage Lighting Art Deco Machine Age Ceiling Light Fixture Need Re-wire
Description This listing is for a nice Vintage Antique Light Yellow Ceiling Light Fixture. The fixture itself is made out of aluminum and has a milk glass bottom and clear glass top right above the fixture. The top of the fixture which fits into the ceiling is aluminum. This light is in excellent shape. Just has a few scratches on the yellow part and the milk glass part and minor ones on the silver. The milk glass part in the picture shows to be a little crooked. However, it is moveable and will adjust so it will not be crooked. The inside of the fixture has two places for light bulbs. It is held together by a moveable and adjustable(by screws) pieces that attach to the aluminum fixture itself. The glass insert has not been cleaned. However it still looks great! PLEASE NOTE* After several questions. These lights will need to be re-wired. ... moreThe person that wires the lights into the ceiling can easily just re-wire these. I am not an expert on these lights. But after carefully checking, they do need re-wiring. I have two of these lights. Antique light fixture Art Deco glass ceiling shade unique lighting center hole
Antique glass ceiling light fixture shade. It has an Art Deco style and it is a center hole mounted type. This will fit most older and newer type fixtures. Has a very nice clear sculptured skirt and center. The flat glass is white. It is 12" across and 3 1/2" deep. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks that I could see. There is some light discoloration as shown in the pictures, it is hard to see. Very nice and unique shaped shade. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge.
