The majority of the signs that were found were in poor condition with paint loss. However the Saunder’s Corner Country Department Store Sign in this sale was one of the only ones that was still in very good condition. This sign advertised for Mission Furniture and depicts an Art& Crafts chair table and lamp. There is some wear to the paint in the upper right hand corner but that’s it. Painted on flexible galvanized steel this early 20th century sign measures 12” wide by 36” tall. The last owner properly framed this sign under glass. Listed without any reserve. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. Antique c1900s Arts & Crafts Mission Fumed Oak / Ebony Picture Frame w Art Print
I have up for sale a wonderful vintage circa 1900- 1915 Arts& Crafts dark quarter sawn fumed oak with ebonized outer margin 16-1/4" x 32-1/2" picture frame with lovely original print. The print is the original to the frame and has never been removed- I can not see any markings to indicate the name of the print nor the artist or publisher and do not want to take it out of the frame. The frame is in Very Nice Original Condition- the outer margin is ebonized and has a grooved or furrowed designs. The wood is quarter sawn oak and has a wonderful somewhat dark orig stain. It is in great shape- no damages and wear is light. There are a couple of small areas on the ebony outer frame that have light smudges in the finish from a drip of white paint. This is hard to notice and quite trivial, easily darkened if you would so choose. The ... moreback is original but the protective dust cover thin paper covering is missing. The print may very well be signed but it would be beneath the visible area and I do not want to remove the print from the frame. It is in Excellent Condition- no damages- looks great but was hard to photograph. The print itself measures approx 9-1/2" x 25-1/2" The glass is clear and Is of course original to the frame and print- no damages. But still rather simple and natural in design, I think Mission style of the Arts and Crafts style movement– Color is a white– Would look fabulous on the heavy wooden furniture of the Mission Arts and Crafts period. Unusual lace technique– The border of this antique runner was said to be a type of lace by the experts on the ebay needlearts discussion board– There was debate as to the type of technique. Though. One thought that it was a Bobbin lace. But did not know if it was hand or machine made– Another thought it was Needle Lace– If experts can further give details on age. Early style history, or how these works were made, please let me know. The ovals are not delicate and thin as one normally thinks of lace– The ovals are heavy– maybe from a heavy natural ... morelinen– Each of the oval is approximately 1 inch long and approximately 3/4ths of an inch wide– Very dense– and they appear to take a lot of intricate work to create. This piece is a heavy natural fabric off white runner– this heavy bobbin or needle lace borders all 4 sides of the runner. Size: The border is deep– approx 3 inches on both sides. And approx 3 ½ inches on both ends. Complete size: is approx 43 inches long and 15 inches wide. Condition: There are no stains on this piece. But it is damaged, at one corner the interior heavy natural linen has detached from the lace and shows some fraying to the natural linen– approx 4” another spot at the this end shows the same type of damage, but smaller(approx 1” There is also a hole in the heavy natural linen interior that measures approx ½ by ½ inch. Great Antique Mission Art & Crafts Arm Chair
Great Mission oak arm chair. I have been advised it is Harden ca.1910 but it has been refinished a long time ago and they probably sanded off the mark. If not it is definatly The condition is very good, it is mortised and pegged in all the right places. The quarter sawn oak is magnificent. There is two minor spots where the wood is chipped. See photos. A great looking and very comfortable chair sure to be the focal point in any room or decor.

Gorgeous antique light fixture. Featuring a cylinder amber glass shade in a brass fixture, four rods with finials on both ends hold the glass shade in place. The fixture is solid brass, it has a brass toned paint on it which is original, this could be stripped however and this would really shine. It has some minor stress marks and dents typical of brass, but nothing major, some wear but could easily be used and displayed as it is. It has been rewired with a porcelain socket and new wiring and could take a 100 watt bulb if desired. Original mounting hardware. The only replacement part on this aside from the socket is the finials on the bottom of the fixture which are new, solid brass- one original finial was missing so they were replaced. The brass is lightly hammered for texture and floral medallions further accent the chandelier. The circular frame houses 5 arms/lights which extend outward from the frame in candlestick fashion. The original, seeded, clear glass shades are present and in good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. Scrolled brass attaches to the circular frame and extends below the frame for interest. This five section stacking"lawyer's" bookcase is entirely original from about 1905 during the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period. The base and top are separate stacking pieces as well. The original deep finish on quarter sawn oak is very well preserved. It has been waxed and buffed so an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth will maintain its warm patina. Doors have original wavy glass and pyramidal oak knobs on this American made antique furniture. The labels are mostly missing. This appears to be from famous maker, Globe Wernicke" of Cincinnati, Ohio. Four identical sections fit books up to 8 1/2" wide and 9 1/2" tall. Both the side bird Portraits measure 6 1/2" across by 15" high. There are three slight imperfections. Tears, in the Canvas of the Hunting Dog Print.The largest being about 2 1/2" in length. There are two imperfections behind the white dogs tail and ... moreone above E. Petit signature. Its as if the print had something press against the back of it and raising the canvas ever so slightly. There is also a tiny mahogany stain mark on the very top center portrait. There might be a tiny spec here and there as to be expected on an art framed like this and moved over the years. Several of these imperfections that were mentioned are hard to see with the human eye. On the E. Petit Portrait there are three nicks, chips of paint missing in that print. Two along the left hand side edge and one center top of the Portrait.Slight staining on the hunting dog portrait, upper right hand corner. Here is a large Mission Swirl art pottery vase that I think is a piece of early Niloak. It is not marked on the bottom. The vase stands about 9 3/4" tall and about 5" at it's widest mid point. The top is about 4 3/8" across. It has been broken and reglued, with glue residue showing from the inside but not on the outside. Please be sure to look over the pictures carefully so you can see exactly what you would be bidding on. One side has just 2 crack lines that don't show very much so you might be able to display from that side. An expert might even be able to camouflage the crack lines even more. Antique Arts and Crafts wood picture frame. App. 10.5" x 12.5" outside dimension, wavy glass, and a bonus portrait signed by the artist. I believe this is Chestnut, but I am not an expert. It's 3" wide across the front, 3/4" depth. There is an intentional gap that radiates from the center of each corner to tightly close at the corners. The wood gently slopes from the outside to the inside. A simple band edges the corners. The opening is 6.5" x 4.5" Fabulous condition with just a few surface scratches that I have photographed in detail. Easily remedied. If you like. I can do it. The lovely portrait in profile looks at first glance to be a photograph. But the paper looks like printmakers paper, and it is signed in pencil, so maybe a photogravure? Or another technique? Here is an antique four-shade hanging ceiling light fixture made of brass with soldered seams/ joints from the 1920's or 30's. With 4 etched green glass shades. About 26" tall, and includes the top brass plate to hide the electrical junction box. In good condition, the brass has not been touched or cleaned and has the uniform tarnish of 80- 90 year old brass. The green glass shades are 5-1/5" high with 4-1/4" dia bottoms, with an etched pattern(all 4 shades the same) and note that all have some small chips and one shade has a crack from top to bottom. The 4 bulb sockets are original and have mica insulation washers that I tried to show in photos. Please note that this may well need rewiring, has the original cloth-covered wire, and some of the set-screws to hold shades in holders are missing. Wisconsin about 1905, this Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period desk marked"Pat. 1905" has fascinating features. On the left is a shallow drawer with a tin bottom for metal type. Below is a file drawer with a front that tilts open and the adjustable pusher tilts back for easy access. Six shallow drawers were made for large wooden type and advertizing logos. At the bottom right are two 3x5 card file drawers with pushers. Deep drawers glide smoothly and have dovetailed joints. Brass feet protected the legs when floors were mopped. Richly figured quarter sawn oak has an excellent deep finish. Cast brass hardware is original. But one is slightly different, presumably a replacement. This is a super period Arts& Crafts/ Mission desk lamp. It is all handmade by an individual( not a mass produced company production piece) It is completely composed of solid Oak. Including the curved lamp shade element! The post or arm, from the base, also has a hand painted" floral" design/motif, and then on either side of the post are two" stepped" wood openings for photos to be inserted. I do have the glass panels/panes for these opens but removed them to take the pixz. It appears to be in an all original condition with a nice patina and an old alligatored varnish. The lamp will need to rewired, as it has the original cloth covered wiring and the original plug. I did not plug it in to see if it works in it's present condition, but the rewire job would be a quick and easy fix.
