Very Ornate with Scrolling Leaf ... moreDesigns and Turning Swirls. Both with 5 candle holding arms. Very attractive pair of early Wall Sconces or Candelabras. No markings found. One sconce still has the gold gilt leaf on the wall mount and on the scalloped candle arms holder. The other one is still showing mostly silver paint which has been on for a long time and has the Gold Gilt Leaf showing through the silver paint. No damage or repairs on either one. I believe they could be solid bronze but can't guarantee it. There are two top candle drip pieces that screw off and were stripped years ago showing the old solid bronze metal(Pic. 5- 8) It also shows through in different areas on both sconces. All 10 top 2 piece drip plates unscrew off for easy cleaning. These were bought out of an old Hotel which was being torn down. The two Candelabras were mounted on the sides of an old Marble Top Fire Place Mantel. They are complete and ready for mounting. One has the two original wall mounting brackets and the other one has only the one(Pic. 11& 12) These will be beautiful if refinished. They are also beautiful in the condition they are presently in. Entirely up to the buyer. This is a very useful set and would look lovely in a restored Victorian Home. Please see all pictures and ask any questions. Be sure to use close up. I am not an expert on Guilted Bronze Items but these appear to me as Bronze but I can't guarantee it. So, be sure to ask me any questions before bidding. At first I thought they were cast iron but now I am not sure. PAIR LARGE SCALE ORNATE ACANTHUS LEAF ITALIAN TOLE 4 CANDLE LIGHT WALL SCONCES
This is a Large Scale Pair of Vintage Italian Tole Acanthus Leaf Wall Sconces. Each sconce is approximately 28 1/4" tall by 22 1/4" at its widest. There is a Made In Italy metal tag. And the sconces have holes in the end of the leaves to apply crystals if the buyer so wishes. The finish on the sconces is more of a bronze tone than gold, a previous owner may have applied a surface finish to them or they just might need a good cleaning, however the photos of the back of the sconces show what is most likely the original gold leaf finish. There is a round hook on the top of each sconce if one wishes to simply hang these as candle wall sconces. Condition is good with wear expected and commensurate with vintage pieces.The buyer may wish to replace the candle covers. LARGE ROCCO EXQUISITE ART DECO FRENCH FLYING GODDESS & ACANTHUS LEAF CHANDELIER
Absolutely gorgeous circa 1920's Art Deco French chandelier. It is solid cast brass with 8 arms and 16 lights in 2 tiers. Acanthus leaves and flying Goddesses make up the decor of this fancy formal fixture dripping with rocco swirls and movement. Rocco chain and celing plate also. There are scalloped petal"wax catchers" under each candle light. Some"candles" have dripping wax. Some don't. The chandelier appears to have been recently rewired. It came out of a very upscale estate sale home. Measures approximately 26" in width from candle arm to candle arm and approximately 34" in length not counting the chain and ceiling plate. The chandelier's arms are screwed in and will be taken off for safer shipping. It is VERY heavy and will be expensive to ship. It may need to be shipped in two boxes. Pair of Vintage Silver Plaster Acanthus Leaf Sconces/Shelves Mid-Century
These gorgeous mid-century vintage sconces are plaster with an acanthus leaf design. There are two half moon hooks built in on each sconce back. These were originally gold leaf colored but I spray painted them silver to go with my décor. They can be spray painted any color that you like. There are a few areas where the plaster has deteriorated near the back top edge and I have tried to photograph that area so you can see it. The sconces measure 7-3/4" tall and 6-1/2" wide. The sconces measure 3" deep at the widest part of the half moon top. They are completely flat on the backside. All of my items have been stored in a smoke-free environment.
