Antique Vintage Lighting Shades Pair of Frosted Painted Shades 2 1/4" Fitter
Here is a pair of frosted shades that were removed from a home that dated from the 1920's. I'm not sure if they are original. But they appear to be from that era. The exterior is frosted and the interior is painted. There are a good amount of'flea bites' on the exposed edges. Check photos for condition. The flea bites along the lower lip of both shades are numerous but there are no chips from damage. These will be shipped in an over-sized box for protection. Outstanding classic chandelier. Ceiling hanging light fixture. Bauhaus-school German design. ~1930s VINTAGE manufacture(purchased from reputable antique shop in Germany. Rewired with modern materials, ready to hang and enjoy. Illuminated fixture picture(the dark pix) shows the great globe color you can expect through the flying saucer- shaped TRANSLUCENT TWO SIDED GLASS; molded with almost white light almond interior. Outsides are swirled translucent rust& chocolate streaks, fully fused glossy to the OUTSIDE of the glass shade, an example of incredible mastery of this glass molding technique) although the picture by no means reveals the actual room light quality or quantity(used severe underexposure to highlight the globes) that this 4 bulb hanging fixture which provides room-filling lighting even loaded with low watt CF bulbs(included) ... moreas show. Soft yet powerful. Rewired with modern materials( new cord and CERAMIC sockets) but no changes visible from outside. This light is in use now. And has performed flawlessly since installed however, as with any light fixture, it is responsibility of installer to inspect for correct and safe wiring. This is an easy matter for a anyone of modest practical skills but if in doubt. Have a qualified electrician check and or install. Any electrical problems UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME. AND FIXTURE IN AS-SHIPPED CONDITION ONLY are grounds for cheerful return. Any alteration of lamp or components voids return rights. Any bends apparent in picture are simple photo distortion. Actual fixture is symmetrical and beautiful. It drops ~28" down(adjustable for lower ceilings by shortening drop tube. Currently on 9' highs and a great height even for tall me) the central main globe is a large ~11" diameter and the 3 satellite globes are each ~6" diameter. Victorian Light Fixture Chandelier 4 Paiste Socket Glass Shades Antique Lighting Here you have the chance to own a Victorian light fixture/chandelier. I believe the metal is aluminum? The sockets are marked PAISTE on the knobs/switches. This could be painted or left as it is. Total weight is a little over 6 lbs. Fixture width about 16" and lenght the same. Each socket has all the screws to hold the glass shade on. Shades are in pretty god condition for their age. The rims aren't perfect. But that should be expected. No major cracks, or breaks that I noticed. Looks like they had some gold paint on them at one time. The whole thing needs a detailed cleaning that I will leave to the buyer to do. Vintage ceiling light fixture with glass shade 4 socket lighting chain and mount
Vintage ceiling light fixture shade with glass fixture. Chain, sockets, and mount. The shade is 15" across and 4" deep. The fixture glass is 9" tall and the chain is about 12" long. It has 4 sockets and should be rewired before installing it. The base plate is 6 1/2" across and the mounting holes are 2 3/4" apart. There are no chips or cracks that I could see, but there is some rust on the chain. I have described the items condition to the best of my knowledge.
