It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! The fixture is made of brass but has a cast iron finial. Is 12" in diameter and the sockets hang down 6 1/2" to where the fitter for the shades are at the bottom of the sockets. The sockets are Weber Fat Boys with paddle key switches. The fixture is being sold as is with the expectation that this item will be refurbished to todays electrical standards by the purchaser. The fixture is in the condition that it was removed with both dirt and paint on it which is mainly around the edge where it was mounted to the ceiling. It comes with the original mounting hardware. Matching Set of 3 Brass Wall Sconces Victorian Nouveau Shades WEBER Sockets
Three restored. Matching, early 20th century brass interior wall sconces. Backplates are decorated with stepped rings around the perimeter. Cast brass arm is profusely ornate and features a WEBER turnkey socket inside of a 2 1/4" shade holder. Sockets have been rewired with period appropriate cloth covered wire. Each measures 10" tall x 4 1/4" wide x 6" deep. All shades have some rubs around the fitter area. One shade has some rubs on the exterior. See image 6. One other shade has a small chip on the bottom opening. See images 8 and 9. Small and inconspicuous, but needs to be mentioned. Additional pictures and measurements available upon request. This is a lovely brass antique ceiling light fixture with three light bells hanging from an 8" diameter circular ornately decorated 8" diameter center with three 4" arm supports. The fixture is accented with original maroon paint and ornate trim. Included are the three unusual antique bulbs shown which I have tested and all are working. ANTIQUE BRASS HANGING PAN LIGHT w/3 PADDLE SWITCH SOCKETS
Up for bid is an antique 3 socket brass pan light. Each of the 3 sockets has a paddle type switch. Which all seem to be workable and not broken. The pan is approximately 14" in diameter and the sockets, hang about 6" down from, the back of the pan or ceiling. Originally there would have been a threaded nipple or threaded tubing piece, that hung through the center hole of the pan from the junction box, with a finial to hold the pan up against the ceiling, but at present, that is missing. This piece is an easily replaceable piece and can be found at any lamp shop or home building center. The pattern on the pan is exceptional in detail and will be a nice lamp to hang in a restored home as well as something new, as is or polished to a bright brass luster. The existing wiring is intact and should be replaced prior to hooking it up to ... moreany electrical source. Lot of 3 Vntg Antique Brass Wall Sconces w Ivory Shades 1912 Patent Uno Sockets
Up for auction is a lot of antique brass wall sconces with fluted ivory shades. Each sconce measures 10 1/2" long. The bell(wall end) measures 5" in diameter. The OD of the shade fitters is 2 1/8" in diameter. The shades are 4 1/2" tall and the bottom diameter is 5 3/4" There are no dings or dents on the brass but there is some paint specks and drips on them. The shades are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. These sconces will need to be re-wired and one of the mounting fitting is missing. Rare Antique Cephas B. Rogers Ceiling Mount Metal and Glass light 3 sockets gold
On auction today is. This was made by Cephas B. Rogers Danbury. Connecticut and the name is stamped in the metal on the back. Born 12/30/1836 Old Saybrook, Connecticut and was a silverplater. He was a partner with Gilbert and Wilbur Rogers from 1866 to 1903 in Meriden,Conn as C.Rogers& Bros. Much of Rogers Co work was used in Hearthstone Castle in Danbury,Conn. All of the wrought iron chandeliers, lamps, and wall sconces were made in Danbury by Cephas B. Rogers Co. Google it) Very interesting article about him. This particular light fixture is a ceiling flush mount metal ornate 3 socket light with a rod that holds the original large decorative glass piece. I believe that the glass was added in the 1940's era. This fixture is all original(not sure about the glass portion) with the cloth wiring(would need to be rewired for safety) It ... morehas a beautiful gold coloring on the base with patina as pictured. The metal base is heavy weighing in just under 6 pounds and measuring 12-1/2 inches wide. The glass has small chips which are pictured and a slight scratch also pictured. The glass piece weighs 3 pounds and is 17 inches in diameter. Overall in great condition considering this piece is about 100 years old. I am not sure if this piece came from the Heathstone Castle or not.I could not find any inside pictures of the castle when it was lived in back in the 1800's. I did purchase this item in Massachusetts. I do know that his earliest pieces were signed"CEPHAS B. ROGERS PATENT APPLIED FOR" which is stamped on the back part of the metal as pictured. Antique c.1930 The H&B Mfg Co 3 light bronze chandelier w/original H&H sockets
This auction is for a heavy bronze 3 light chandelier with original H&H sockets(which all work great) made by The H&B Mfg Co. This chandelier is in great condition it was recently taken out of estate in Boston it was very well taken care of over the years. Unfortunately I do not have the chain for this chandelier.
