This is a pair of heavy. Old, solid brass chandelier plates. I was told they were removed from a pair of 19th century gas lamps. They are 14" in diameter and quite ornate. They each weigh 3 lbs 5 oz. They have recessed slots and screw hardware to accommodate 3 arms. We intended to restore them to finished hanging lamps, but we just have too many projects right now, so we'll pass them on to you. Antique Solid Brass 4 Light Chandelier Late 19th Cent. w/ Floral Frosted Shades
This listing is for a Rare Extraordinary Antique Solid Brass 4 Light Chandelier from the Late 19th Century with Floral Frosted Shades. This beautiful Chandelier is about 30" tall. Plus 4 or 5 inches of chain and a brass cover at the ceiling, and from the top of the fixture to the bottom of the shades the height is about 35" It has three brass arms with a light at the end of each of them. Plus a light in the center of the fixture. If a circle were drawn around the outside of the shades the diameter would be about 32" As you will see from the photographs the brasswork is beautifully and intricately detailed. The exquisite frosted glass shades might remind you of a delicate iris. The fixture is in excellent vintage condition has been professionally rewired and guaranteed to work properly. The string of the beading that hangs down ... morefrom the bottom of the fixture is starting to fail and some of the beading has fallen off. This is perhaps the most beautiful and unique chandelier I have ever seen. I have not been able to find one that was even similiar to it. This item is sold as is. Antique Heavy Ormolu Chain Late 19th Cent French 31.75 Inches Long (A)
A very decorative ormolu chain which I imagine was made late 19th century and it could well be French. It is quite heavy so I think it is made of cast iron. Each link is like a scroll with a circular ring in between each one that joins them together. At one end is a ring with a small screw thread and at the other a hook(see photos. I imagine that it originally came off a chandelier or some other type of ceiling light. I am also listing separately another identical chain which is just a little shorter. Condition. There is no damage to the chain itself but the gilding is rather worn/grubby and also there is verdigris in places down the length of the chain. All this is just surface wear and can be resolved if required. However. I would say it has a lovely old feel to it. I would say that the photos do not really do the chain justice. Antique Pair Bronze French Rococo Candelabra Late 19th Cent fine cond
The candelabras measure 18 1/2 inches tall by 11 1/2 inches wide. One of the bases is marked H the other is marked GH GA. The sconces have been hand tooled in the French tradition. These date from about the turn of the century. These candelabras are convertible to a single candelabra. One can simply remove the top part and use the bottom as a single candlestick.
