It dates from the early 1900's around 1920. It is a signed Electrolier fixture. This company made high end lighting in the 1920's and 1930's. This fixture comes with the slip shade. The glass shade is free from any chips or cracks. This lamp looks quite nice hen it is lit. The sconce has the original gold paint and it is free from any signs of rust which is nice. This slip shade sconce has the original switch on it and it is still active and working. This lamp has been tested working however it still has the old cloth wires so you may want to have them replaced. The sconce measures 6 1/2" x 10 1/2" and projects 5 1/4" from the wall( with the shade on) The slip for the shade is 4 5/8" at the top and curves in over 3 1/4" As you can see there is some white wall paint on the one corner. This could easily be cleaned off but we did not want to ruin any of the original gold paint so we will leave it up to you. Never Any Reserve! All questions will be answered promptly! For your consideration is this Vintage Art Deco slip shade. The shade measures 7 3/8" by 4 1/2" wide at the top fitters and 1 1/2" wide at the bottom. The shade is in great condition. It has a couple of tiny flea bite chips on the fitters and one on the inside of the top left scallop. These are small and will not show or affect the hanging of the shade in the fixture. Antique 40's "Bag Style" Glass Chandelier 1 of set of 3 Boudoir Glam
Hi. I have here for auction an attractive Antique 1940's BAG STYLE CRYSTAL GLASS CHANDELIER, It comes complete with the original ceiling support hook which is unusual in itself, please see pic 7. This Chandelier was taken from an exclusive apartment opposite The Harrods department store in London. Knightsbridge 30 years ago by my fathers company. It is from a set of three matching chandeliers. Large 44 cm wide x 28 cm deep 7 Tier waterfall, Medium 30 cm wide x 28 cm deep 6 Tiers waterfall and Smaller 27 cm wide x 24cm deep"BAG" style chandelier. The only one for sale in this auction is this"BAG style" one. The others are listed separately(see pic 8 for a group shot) My fathers company had acquired the flat sort of accidentally in a company takeover/ buyout at the time. I would think the 3 chandeliers I have for sale ... morewould have been up in this flat for at least 20-30 years making the age of the chandeliers approx 50-60 years old. Fortunately when the company decided to renovate and modernise the apartment my father brought these amazing chandeliers home to the west midlands where they have lived ever since. Unfortunately I am now moving into a rented house for 18 months so must slim down. The Chandelier is absolutely spectacular and I have found it extremely difficult to photograph. To be honest it needs a really thorough clean so it will really sparkle. I have also recently done some research into its history and I now belive it is of excellent quality. It has 5 raised leaves from the upper tier from which a swag of crystals also drape around the top. The Top measures 10 inches or approx 27 cms across. The depth of the chandelier from the top of the leaves to the central flower shaped disc at the bottom measures approx 24 cm or approx 9 inches. Up for consideration is a fine set of 7 double arm bronze Gothic/Tudor/Medieval wall sconces. The sconces measure 14 1/2 inches tall 9 1/2. They are bronze with two arms with a back plate that has a variety of themes. There is some panther heads that are peeping out from behind a shield. There are some Art Nouveau type floral embellishment in the center. A Gothic stained glass window type back drop with a winged Gargoyle on the bottom. Some of the sconces have a blue backplate and a few have a burgundy color. Both look to be original coloration. Two other sconces have been painted and sometime in the past with a silver color and one sconce has been stripped completely of color.These sconces are of nice scale not too big but chunky enough to display in a room with a 10. 12 or 14 foot ceiling. Nice Vintage UFO Shape 13 1/4" 3 Hole Red and Clear Frosted Light Shade Globe. Details: Here is a really nice and unusual shape 3 hole shade. These don't turn up very often that have this this shape. Color, and pattern on them. The glass is clear, that has been partly painted red, some partly frosted, and the rest was left plain. The glass was painted red when the shade was made. It has a wavy pattern around the outside along with little knobs. The wavy pattern has been left clear and the tops of the little knobs are clear. I didn't put this under a light, but I am sure that design would look wonderful with light coming through it. It has a little paint loss and you can see it in the last image that I have. There is an area of little specks on the other side of the shade that I don't have an image of. So, double the specks ... moreyou see in the image and you will know about how many it has. HARD TO FIND MARKEL SLIP SHADE WALL SCONCES Presented in a Buy It Now format are a Lot of Markel Slip Shade Sconces with a single slip shade. This purchase includes 3 sconce metal back plates and one glass shade. With the shade in place. The sconce measures approximately 11 in length, 5.5 inches wide and extends from the wall 5 inches. The shade is a rare original with no cracks or large chips. It does need to be cleaned. Please review our posted photos to see the factory finish on this shade. Much of the shade has a factory applied brown paint however the manufacturer left some of the shade's clear glass exposed ~ which resembles clear pinstriping the length of the shade and also a clear glass tip. Very classy! The 3 back plates have differences with respect to color and type of finish. Please refer to our large format photos to view ... morethe various colors. One of the back plates looks as though it was painted gold and it is not magnetic so it is probably made out of bronze. The next back plate is also most likely made out of bronze metal and has a Beaver on/off turn button. Very Unique. Vintage Ceiling Light Shade. This shade has a varied diamond pattern throughout. The top part is sprayed white, enamel? something strong and stable-there is no chipping, scratches, or wear, although there is a tiny bit of overspray onto the clear area) and a clear bullseye pattern at the bottom. The shade measures 7 1/4" tall, the clear bottom is 3 1/2" across, and the fitter edge opening is 3 1/4" across, which does fit over a standard size bulb for easy replacement of the bulb. Antique Crystal Prism Flowers from Italian Sconces for Chandelier Repair 3 1/8"
For your consideration is this set of four matching antique 3 1/8" flowers made from crystal prisms that came off of an old pair of Italian sconces. They are tied together with wire and wire does feel secure on all of them. Each teardrop prism is 1 1/2" long. There are some tiny flea bites and a few light scratches on the surfaces of the crystals. There is one crystal that has a 1mm chip on one of the lower facets. Each one of the flowers has four crystals face up and one face down. So it must have been part of their design. The flowers are not quite as bright as the photos appear. Vintage pair (2) French 3 Light Wall Sconces 24" 9 1/2" D by 11" Wired Bronze
Up for consideration is a fine pair of large vintage French 3 arm Wall sconces. They measure with the light bulb and crystal swag it's 24 inches 11 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches deep. The sconces are externally wired in the French manner meaning the arms are not hollow and the cord runs along the back of the arms. At the bottom a new cord has been attached so that one can simply plug the sconces into a light socket. These can also be hard wired into the wall. 3 1/4 Inch Glass Ball Shade Holophane ?
This 31/4 Glass Shade is round. And it appears to be from the holophane family. The shade is intact, and there does appear to be some straw lines or cracks running along the under side of the shade.It appears to be very usable in this condition. There is a rough area around the lower part of the fitter rim. This is there because the manufacturer has pooped the inner part of the fitter out, and it was hand filed to not have sharp points. This is how you can tell it is an original shade, and not a reproduction. Please check the other auctions, as there are antique shades in most of them. Please wait for an invoice before you pay.
