Rare Malibu Potteries California Tile 6x6 Nice
Very nice real Malibu Tile- this 6x6 tile was made circa 1930 and is really really rare to find. This tile was salvaged from the house of William Muir who owned Muresque Tiles. I have 26 of these. They were around a window on his house. There are a few bumps on the corners and sides as you can see in the photos. They are still in really nice condition and would look great in an iron table base. The backs can be cleaned with a tile saw. Pickup and delivery are always possible if you live in Ca. vintage architectural border ceramic tiles
You are bidding on 1(one) vintage border ceramic tile. It was made in England by H&R Johnson Ltd. They are marked as such on the back. There are no cracks. Chips or crazing. In excellent condition. 6"x 2" These tiles date to probably the late 30's to early 50's.The thickness varies from 2/16" to slightly over 1/4"at the thickest part of the nosing. They are a beautiful retro"Martha Stewart" green. Would be great to use in renovating an older house or just building a new bathroom in a retro style. They do not appear to ever having been used. They are perfect as accent tiles or as a border. We about 100 of these and would be happy to consider lower price for bulk buying.

Prism glass tiles were designed and patented by Frank Lloyd Wright. hese tiles were salvaged from a store front in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These prism glass tiles were leaded together in a large panel. I am told that these tiles are about 100 years old. In 1897. Frank Lloyd Wright patented a style of prismatic glass tile designed to refract and diffuse light into the building from the outside for maximum lighting efficiency. There is no makers mark. The back has 7x7 embossed squares with 3x3 central blank. There is England embossed across the back with 3 in one corner square and IT in the opposite corner.

COLOURFUL RICHARDS ART DECO `DUTCH BOY AND GIRL` TILE
This colourful amusing tile was made by Richards. Stoke on Trent in the 1920`s. It is decorated to look like tube lining. This tile is one of a series of tiles produced by Richards showing children in Dutch clothing in Dutch scenes. The tile is 6 inches square, it has the Richards factory mark on the back. The tile is in good condition apart from some staining on the left side and across the top. The tile has been used as a teapot stand and there is slight rubbing to the glaze where the teapot has stood.

Vintage Soap Dish w/Towel Bar Tile Accessory Black 1950's
Here is a black tile-in soap dish that was removed from a 1950's-era bathroom. This is meant to be installed on top of the tile field(not flush) There is some discoloration on the flat portion of the dish. And it feels like hard water deposits(see pics) Otherwise the glaze is very nice with chips or cracks. There is a little bit of what looks like'Liquid Nails' left on the back. But this shouldn't interfere with installation. Check my other items for a matching toilet paper holder. Antique Vintage Subway Tile Bullnose 6-Inch Trim 'Robertson' Early 1900's
Please note: the price listed is for one piece of tile(there are 12 available for approx. 6 linear feet) All of them have crackled glaze and some staining under the glaze along the top edge(see pics) Also. Sealing is recommended if these will be installed in a wet location. Please contact me with the quantity needed and I can give you a shipping estimate. These are'Robertson Art Tile' bullnose caps. I'm not sure of the age as these were found in a mixed lot of tile. They were in business from 1892-1920, but these are most likely from the very early 1900's. They are approx. 6" long with about a 1/2" offset between the top and bottom edges. The overall thickness is 1 1/2" and they will project from the wall 1 1/2" Most have a few tiny flea-bites on the edges and/or light scratches. Overall. They are in nice ... moreshape and have barely any thinset on them for a clean installation. Any edge grout will be removed prior to shipping, they will pretty much be ready to install. 4 Gorgeous Shabby Vintage Early 1900s Danto Kaisha DK Japan Ceramic Tiles Greens We just got back from a wonderful vacation out to Wyoming and South Dakota. Stayed at a fabulous B&B in South Dakota- made even more heaven by the fact that they also had an antique store on the property. I shopped in several other locations in both states and brought home some great primitives. Advertising, pottery, and all in all interesting finds. Before I left, I went to a new farm auction, and an estate auction- so I have a BUNCH of new items this week- I’ll be posting every day, so be sure to check back! I think I told you a couple of weeks ago that I bought a lot of old ceramic tiles. I grouped those together that match. And those that did not match, I grouped together by"theme" these being a green theme! What I have is a lot of 4 vintage, ... moreearly 1900s ceramic tiles- all measuring 6" square, and all used- with varying degrees of plaster at the backside from when they were removed. 2 are marked"DK Japan, one is marked Danto Kaisha Japan, which is the same company, and the 4th- I cannot see the mark because of the plaster, but I do think it looks to be the same company. I am calling them shabby in my title, because of the plaster on the backs, the crazing on the fronts, and the teenie small chips on the edges and high relief spots of the tiles- all minor, for their age- and they are in excellent structural condition. Each one had a numbered lable on it when I bought them, and the remnants of the label needs to be removed but will come off- they are dirty and need to be cleaned- I have not tried to clean them in any way. The colors are gorgeous- white backgrounds and deep mossy green accented with darker shades of green, and shades of gold and rose, depending on the tile. I think they are all beautiful- whether together or apart- you can't go wrong- the one word that comes to mind is FABULOUS! Please ask if you have any questions. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. There are a couple corner dings. Some tiles have paint on them. Please look at the pictures carefully. An antique Arts& Crafts/ Art Nouveau tile depicting two dogs or deer? with the quote"love your neighbour. But don't pull down your hedge" by Benjamin Franklin. it is decorated in the colours of Cream and Green which is typicall of the period. it measures approx 18.25 cms wide and 14cms tall. it does not appear to have been used and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There is crazing to the glaze which is just age related and expected from a piece of this age(see photo 2 for a closeup) a really unusual tile to add to the collection.

Tiles are probably Hispano-Moresque, but possibly tayor, think they also made this pattern. Large tiles, measure almost 10" frokm bottom to squared off area. To big to be an 8" tile. A central daisy flower is surrounded with natural tones of tan, rust and brown, and cloud-like corners. In excellent condition, there is only one fleabite near one of the corners on the edge- otherwise, no cracks, chips or dings to this beautiful colorful tile. Made of red clay. The tile is 3/8 inches thick and isn't warped, although there is one chip on the underside corner of the tile which will be hidden from view when set. It is unmarked, and has been used. J C Edwards Ruabon unusual tile Music - Walter Crane
An unusual moulded J C Edwards of Ruabon tile depicting a classical male semi-naked figure playing pipes or a flute. It is probably part of a series. This one depicting'Music' which is moulded in the top right-hand corner. This is reminiscent of Walter Crane designs but I have not come across it before and I have only come across Voysey as a known designer for J C Edwards. The tile measures 15.5cm square and is glazed in a lilac colour. It has minor'nibbles' to top and side edges and two chips to bottom right and left-hand corners. I have pictured it in a frame to show that the chips can be completely hidden and will sell with or without the frame. Various moulded marks to reverse as shown. Antique Roofing Slate 1800's Charles Street St. Louis Cathedral New Orleans
On the back of this tile it states; Roofing slates mined in Penn. and transported down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers on rafts became the roofing material after the disastrous fire of 1795. Each one was individually hand shaped. This one came from an old building on Charles Street. Dating back to the early 1800's. It was originally owned by a famous merchant named Bosch.
