Available here is a set of encaustic fireplace tiles made by Trent Company. There are 11 tiles with a floral/vine/three leaf clover pattern. Included ... morein the tiles are 2 corner tiles. One top center tile and one end"L" tiles. shown in center) Beautiful colors of aqua and brown. Color change can be arranged differently if desired. Colors are much more pretty than photos depict. All of the tiles exhibit crazing consistent with age. They have very little to no concrete grout on the back. They are all marked“TRENT” on the back. When placed together correctly. The floral/vine tiles form a continuous flowing pattern. There is one tile with small chips no bigger than 1/4” near the edge. Other than that the tiles are in good condition with no major issues. This was listed earlier, sadly some tiles got broken so I had to relist with a smaller amount. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I

No.13 A wonderful pair of forest green glazed ceramic tiles with a center rosette and small fluer de lis motifs. A prevalent Victorian pattern seen in England and America during the 1870's. Both tiles are marked by the manufacturer. They are unrestored. With normal wear, very minor crazing, and small chips as shown, otherwise they are in very fine condition. They were recently salvaged from a south side Victorian home in Chicago and are guaranteed authentic as described. The tiles will be carefully packed in a sturdy box and shipped via the USPS or UPS Ground. No Canadian or International transactions on ceramic purchases

Ten Trent tiles that came from an old Victorian fireplace surround in Iowa. Each of the tiles measure 6" x 6" Two have large chips on the front. Two others have very small chips on the front. They have not been cleaned but any char should wipe off with windex and a cloth. A few of them have chips on the back. But those can be leveled with grout. There are 10 tiles all together. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PROVIDENTIAL TILE FIREPLACE SURROUND portrait tiles
The sale is for this gorgeous antique tile surround that was made by the New Jersey Providential Tile company in the late 1800's. The picture is a shortened version of the surround. There are quite a few more of the mottled tiles. It is in good condition and is comprised of the 2 corner portrait tiles and the rest are 6x1.5 inch and 3 x 1.5 inch tiles. Very few or none of the mottled tiles should need to be cut for the surround. There is some residual mortar and the portrait tiles have a few edge abrasions(please see closeup pictures) The most common surround would be 30" high and across. If you need more tiles for your fireplace surround I can flesh out this design with the mottled tiles. I have many antique tiles listed.

Two antique fireplace tiles 7" x 7", very different, Persian?
In the 1970's. The previous owner removed these two tiles from around an old fireplace in North Carolina. I don't know their age or origin. Each tile measures roughly 7" x 7" and they're about 1/2" thick. The bird tile has an unusual wavy surface(not flat) the other tile has a flat surface. THIS IS A SET OF ART NOUVEAU/ ARTS& CRAFTS FIREPLACE TILES. FROM THE NORTH ENGLAND ARCHITECTURAL TILE COMPANY. This is a classical Arts& Crafts/ Mission design. Bearing all the usual geometrical symmetry which tends to differentiate them from the more commonly seen Art Nouveau designs. Four pale sky blue petals emerge from a tube-lined epicenter and branch outwards towards a leafy surround in deep forest green. The green areas are particularly interesting when the tiles are placed one atop another as they serve to form a second interlocking pattern. Set 10x Fabulous Art Nouveau TULIP Fireplace Tiles Majolica Tubelined Perfect NR
Here is a set of TEN Art Nouveau/ Arts& Crafts majolica tubelined tiles. Each hand made, hand painted and tublined using the exact methods as those used to manufacture over a century ago in Victorian England. In my opinion, this is one of the three most beautiful designs I have! Here. A golden tulip sits, centralized inside a geometrical diamond, with varied petals, from palest yellow to a deeper golden shade, with a stem and leaves in bold grass green. Two smaller blooms sit perfectly symmetrical beneath each leaf. The pale yellow of the flower is repeated in the surrounding four quarters and this in turn, is framed by a crisply tubelined rust border. A really nice blend of Art Nouveau and geometry. In terms of craftsmanship. Its hard to imagine any tile available today coming close to that seen here. It really is THAT GOOD! The lines ... moreare crisp and sharp with hand applied tube-lining accentuating the various areas of the tile's overall surface. A truly BEAUTIFUL DESIGN! Each tile is lovingly created as a unique work in ceramic artistry, slightly different to each other yet sufficiently uniform so as to be placed in consecutive runs, if the installation requires. Large Lot of Over 60 Antique Fireplace Tiles - American Encaustic, Zanesville OH
Here is a nice group of antique Arts and Crafts style fireplace tiles. They are made of creamy white porcelain with random streaks of forest green. Plus mottled shades of light tan and a hint of blue- very organic, it gives the feel of pine trees in the forest! They were made by the American Encaustic Tiling Company of Zanesville, Ohio, which was in business from 1875 to the 1920s. There are more than 60 whole tiles here, most have at least one or two tiny edge chips and some have more. But they're so gorgeous, I can't imagine it will matter once they've been repurposed and the grout is set. Here's what you get: 37 tiles that measure approximately 6-1/16" in length; 21 tiles that are just over 3" in length; and six groupings of both, ranging from 4 to 7 tiles of both sizes, held together by their original grout. ... moreAll of the tiles are just a hair over 1-1/2" in width, and are 1/2" thick. There's also a pile of broken pieces, which I'll include if you want them; they would be good if you have to cut some small pieces to size. The backs are embossed"A.E. Tile Co. Ltd.
