The sale is for this Trent antique portrait tile with a VERY highly raised design. This is one of the most desirable Trent portrait tiles. I have not removed it from the frame but I am quite familiar with this tile. It will be unmarked with a concave image of the face on the back of the tile. It appears that someone colored(brown) which I suspect are some abrasions to the high points of the glaze. If it were removed you would have unglazed abrasions which would be difficult to notice and a more homogeneous look if that is preferred. Please zoom in on the pictures to see. The frame is deep and quite ornate but is damaged in the lower left hand corner. The tile alone is 6x6 inches. I have many antique tiles listed and many of them the very desirable portrait tiles.
