Three Victorian architectural tiles. Which form a"flaming urn" panel, in shades of beige and brown. They are from a central Texas home, built in the 1880s. There is no manufacturer's mark. The two upper tiles are 6 x 6, and the bottom one is 6" x 5-5/8" Condition: there is an abrasion on the right edge of the top tile. As well as small chips on the underside corners of this same tile. On the left edge, there is a flaw, under the glaze. looks like a small bubble. not significant, but a flaw, all the same. There is fine crazing to the glaze on all of the tiles. Still very pretty. Pair of antique Pilkington art nouveau majolica tiles
Lovely and rare pair of antique art nouveau tiles from Pilkington's with a fineness of line and moulding characteristic of their nouveau designs. This design is used extensively at the Royal Victoria Baths in Manchester. Though in a different colourway. This pair is in pale green and cream. The vertical bars at the edges are part of the design, forming the stems of further flowers when wall-mounted in panels. Size: 6" square each tile. Condition: very good surface to the glaze but there are some corner chips to both tiles. The left-hand tile has a chip on the flower and about 1.5mm shaved off a small section at the same point- please see detail photo. The backs are quite clean and bear the usual embossed'P' mark for Pilkington's and a registered number for c.1901. Please email with any questions.

This pattern is commonly referred to as"double bubble"With a grid of raised,domed dots on one side and another grid,offset on the other side,creating a pattern of quasars. These would have been"leaded-in" to lead or zinc"H" chennels,like stained glass windows, and used in transoms above storefront windows to project daylight into the space. Victorian Mintons China Works Pictorial Monochrome Tile c1880 This is a lovely Victorian Mintons China Works ceramic tile c1880 The tile is a black and white(monochrome) pictorial print of a woman hand feeding rabbits or hares in her yard/ garden. The tile is highly detailed with great contrast. This tile is one of a set of eight and is from one of Mintons earliest picture series, which was first produced in the 1850's and echoes the works of Sadler and Green. The verso is is fully marked: MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE ON TRENT Shown below. The verso also has the Minton globe mark. Shown below. Size: 6" 15.2cm) x 6" 15.2cm) 1cm depth approx Condition: No cracks to the tile. There are some chips to the front and verso of the tile. See close up photos below. ANTIQUE. VICTORIAN, RECLAIMED, MINTON, CERAMIC TILE Attractive Minton tile with a central bloom surrounded by a floral and scrolled design. That repeats in each quadrant, in shades of red on a cream background Back of tile. Which has five horizontal ribs, is clearly marked MINTONS over CHINA WORKS over STOKE ON TRENT over MADE IN ENGLAND. The trade mark globe is partially obscured with bonding/fixing. But it has the word MINTON in the central band and STOKE upon TRENT in an arc over the globe and WALBROOK LONDON in an arc under the globe. There is also a printed number 2663 this is preceded by a mark that is not readable. Marks probably date the tile to the early 1900’s. Tile is about 6 1/16 inches(154mm) by 6 1/16 inches(154mm) by 3/8 inch(10mm) thick Tile weighs about 15.5 oz(439 grams) The tile is not cracked. The front is evenly crazed ... moreand the top edges are in good condition. There are two narrow bands across the tile where the pattern has been locally& partially erased, but this happened during manufacture as it is all under-glaze– the crazing in the glazing can clearly be seen over the erased areas. There are also three very, very small black marks, but again these occurred during manufacture as they are under the glaze and are so small they hardly show in the photos. Back of tile is relatively clean. There are two edge chips, but one of these happened during manufacture, as it is under-glaze. Neither extends through to the front edge– see photos. Up for your consideration is beautiful Antique Tile. This tile is hand painted and has a picture of a person in the forest. The first thing I should tell you is that this tile would be a lot brighter with a good cleaning. But I am not an expert and don't want to ruin the color by using the wrong thing. This tile measures 6" long and is 3" wide. It is free from any damage. No Chips or cracks to the tile or painting. On the back it says Alexander mobtised Tile. And under that it says Patented 1898. It is hard to see in the picture because it is where the black is on the back. This is a beautiful tile and would look great framed or in any ones collection. Wedgwood Aesthetic 'The Months' series Tile Trivet, 'May', by Helen Miles, 1878
I have for sale a Wedgewood aesthetic movement tile. Entitled'May' from the Old English The Months series designed in 1878 by Helen J.A. Miles. Mounted in the original cast iron trivet frame. This series of 12 transfer printed tiles represented children in various activities illustrating the individual months of the year. In this case two girls are picking posies of apple blossom from the tree. Transfer printed in underglazed blue. With the title'May' printed in the bottom right corner, the tile measures 15.2 cm(6 inches) square. The back carries the impressed marks"Josiah Wedgewood& Sons, Etruria" with the'E' of Etruria reversed, a backstamp exclusively reserved for Wedgewood's tile production. It also shows two small marks in underglazed blue which may be potters' or decorators' marks. These ... morewedgwood art tiles were sold as sets for domestic use or individually. Mounted in a variety of ways, including this original trivet mounting. It is constructed of a border of fine, rope-twist cast iron which is twisted into knots at each corner, forming four feet which prevent heat being transferred through the tile to the surface below. The tile is in very good condition considering its age and function. There is a small hairline extending about 1.5 inches from the right edge. Some very minor fritting to the outer edges and a small amount of crazing, particularly to the back and to the white area of the seated girl's petticoat. This tile has been used as a trivet, therefore there is some expected rubbing to the glaze in the centre. However, there are no major chips or crack, the decoration is crisp and the colours true. The frame is sound and in good order. Unpacked weight is 495 grams. I would be very happy to provide any further information required regarding this piece. Antique 6"x6" A E American Encaustic Co Limited green floral
The American Encaustic Tiling Co of Zanesville. OH was founded in 1875 and was once viewed as the largest tile factory in the world. Unfortunately, if fell victim of the Great Depression and failed in 1935. But its heritage lives on in this wonderful tile. The tile has issues as can be seen with areas where the glaze got scratched off over time. It clearly was part of a larger picture, perhaps with another tile as the base for the flowers. Marble vintage salvaged from mansion 8"X 12" WHITE CARRERA

I have various thick vintage trim-crown molding. Which could have been used as part of an elaborate cornice or just part of a ceiling molding. It could be great as an Architectural element. This group of marble are part of this Southern Antique collector's possessions as an art piece although it was once put to practical where it once stood. Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Secessionist Majolica Tile Malkin Edge Jugendstil!
You are bidding on an INCREDIBLE Antique Secessionist/ Art Nouveau Victorian Majolica Tile. Made by Malkin Edge& Co, and dating circa 1900! Measuring approximately 6" x 6" This Beautifully decorated tile oozes jugendstil style with its semi abstracted floral motif in rich green, cream and orange majolica glazing over raised decoration- Lovely! It is in good vintage condition with minimal age wear- there is a small nibble to the corner edge. And maybe the odd edge pip here and there, but this does not detract at all, and is only noted for ebay accuracy(see photos! It really is a Stunner! 1840s 50s SLAVE MADE GARDEN BORDER TILES SAVANNAH GA.
Said to have been made on one of three plantations around Savannah Geo. These were found in Macon during restoration of a home and gardens. They measure 8 1/2" x 8"x 1" Make a nice accent piece on a plate stand. Thanks for looking 1

MAW & CO MAJOLICA GLAZE RELIEF MOULDED TILE (THE HANGING OF THE CRANE c 1875)
This magnificent tile was made by Maw and Co. Benthall Works, Broseley,Shropshire around 1875. It is part of a series of 6 tiles based on scenes from the poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow `The hanging of the Crane` which was written in 1874.The tile is moulded in very high relief and has a rich majolica glaze. It is 6 inches square and has the Maws factory marks on the back.This tile is 0.5 inches thick and is much heavier than usual.

VICTORIAN MAJOLICA GLAZE RELIEF MOULDED `STYLIZED ROSE` TILE
This is a lovely relief moulded tile. It has a central stylized rose surrounded by a ruched border. It is 6 inches square and in good condition with good rich majolica glazes. The back has no makers mark. It has 6 embossed ribs.

VICTORIAN `LOTUS FLOWERS AND LEAVES` TILE BY LEA AND BOULTON
This tile has a lovely design of a stylized Lotus blossom surrounded by acanthus leaves. It is printed in shades of brown on a white ground. The tile is 6 inches square and in good condition. The back has L.T. England. This is the factory mark for Lea and Boulton, Stoke on Trent.

MAW AND CO BLUE AND WHITE ORIENTAL FLOWERS AND FIR CONES TILE
This tile was made by Maw and Co. Ironbridge. Shropshire around 1870. It has an oriental design printed in blue on a cream ground. The design shows a fan with fir cones and writing instruments surrounded by a border of prunus blossoms on a blue ground. The tile is 6 inches square and in good condition. The Maws marks are on the back.

VICTORIAN `TORMENTIL AND CORNFLOWERS` TILE
This Victorian transfer printed tile has a complicated design of twining flowers and leaves. The central square has tormentil flowers and the surrounding circle has what appear to be cornflowers. The tile is 6 inches square and in printed in shades of brown on a white ground. It is in good condition. The back is partly obscured with old adhesive but it has 6x6 embossed squares.

Rare Vintage Artist Signed TALAVERA TILE MURAL ~ Old Mission ~ 12 tiles WOW! What a great lot of vintage Mexican hand painted tiles! And they tell a story! These wonderful vintage tiles. 12 in all, are hand painted to display a wonderful old church building, probably in ancient Mexico. They both have crosses on the roofs. These are wonderfully hand painted and are marked on the back with C-L-A-S-A Hecho en Mexico( made in Mexico) and there is a sort of bird figure in the middle of the stamp. Each tile measures 4 1/4 inch X 4 1/2 inch, and the 12 of them fit together like a puzzle. All are in good shape with normal minor wear, and one with a tiny chip on the corner. They do have age crazing that helps attest to their age. A wonderful find. Glue them to a board and frame them, or use to complete a table top. Just a really wonderful set of these ... moretiles.
