Single socket with a pull chain. It's in very good used condition. No chips. Cracks or breaks. A few areas around the outer edge have some paint residue. I have not tried to remove the paint, will leave that to the experts. The chain pulls on/off easily. Socket removes from the fixture easily. I don't know if it works, I have no way of testing it. It measures about 5 3/4" diameter at the base. 2 3/4" tall, screw holes are 4" apart center on center and about 3/16" diameter. Uses a standard size bulb. Thanks for looking. Up for auction is a very nice porcelain two(2) light ceiling(or wall) fixture/ sconce with a lovely raised floral design. This features two Porcelier ... moreporcelain sockets also. It's in a lovely off-white color with pastel decoration. This fixture was likely made between the 1920's to the 1930's. But I'm unsure of the exact age. The Porcelier Manufacturing Company first opened their doors at a site in East Liverpool. Ohio in 1927. They didn’t last long at that location, however, and moved their operations to South Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1930. Unfortunately, The increased use of plastic as a cheap manufacturing material would eventually replace the more costly porcelain in the house wares market and Porcelier was forced to close their doors in 1954 when their factory was purchased by Pittsburgh Plate. During their 27 years in business, Porcelier made a wide range of porcelain household goods, everything from electric waffle irons to light fixtures to tea cups, and their products are highly collectible today. This fixture is about 10" long by 5.25" wide. It's about 2.5" tall. You can see the remnants of the original Porcelier sticker as well as the Underwriters Laboratories certification. I don't find any cracks or chips or breaks. I do want to note that there are areas around the edge that are small indentations. This is from the manufacturing however as they are properly glazed over and original to the piece. The wiring looks serviceable but I would recommend having it examined by a professional prior to using. All in all this is a wonderful fixture in great antique or vintage condition. I have another porcelain fixture and one other Porcelier piece on ebay right now. These are on par with makers during the Art Deco/ Art Moderne periods like Virden. Moe Bridges, Lincoln, Miller, Paramount, Beller, General Electric and other high quality companies. This piece is likely close to 80- 90 years old and displays beautifully! The gold trim accent has some rub wear. The 2 pink light bulbs are vintage from the 1950s. They are GE Deluxe 50 watt bulbs. They did NOT work when I tested with a regular lamp so am declaring them burned out. I include them anyway because they were part of the fixture when found. CHARMING CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE This would be so attractive in a country bedroom or a child's room. There are no cracks. Chips, or discoloration. The wiring and sockets appear to be in good shape and the pull switch has an audible, solid"click. The doughnut-shaped fixture at the base of each bulb unscrews easily for easy access. It measures a little over 10 inches long. 6 inches wide, and would extend about 3 inches from your ceiling. The floral design is raised and hand painted. Not a decal, which makes it very special. ART DECO - CERAMIC CEILING LAMP LIGHT FIXTURE CHANDELIER SCONCE - PORCELAIN
Up for auction is a very nice porcelain two(2) light ceiling(or wall) fixture/ sconce with a lovely raised floral design. This features two Porcelier porcelain sockets also. It's in a lovely off-white color with pastel decoration. This fixture was likely made between the 1920's to the 1930's. But I'm unsure of the exact age. The Porcelier Manufacturing Company first opened their doors at a site in East Liverpool. Ohio in 1927. They didn’t last long at that location, however, and moved their operations to South Greensburg, Pennsylvania in 1930. Unfortunately, The increased use of plastic as a cheap manufacturing material would eventually replace the more costly porcelain in the house wares market and Porcelier was forced to close their doors in 1954 when their factory was purchased by Pittsburgh Plate. During their 27 years ... morein business, Porcelier made a wide range of porcelain household goods, everything from electric waffle irons to light fixtures to tea cups, and their products are highly collectible today. This fixture is about 10" long by 5.25" wide. It's about 2.5" tall. You can see the remnants of the original Porcelier sticker as well as the Underwriters Laboratories certification. I don't find any cracks or chips or breaks. I do want to note that there are areas around the edge that are small indentations. This is from the manufacturing however as they are properly glazed over and original to the piece. The wiring looks serviceable but I would recommend having it examined by a professional prior to using. All in all this is a wonderful fixture in great antique or vintage condition. I have another porcelain fixture and one other Porcelier piece on ebay right now. These are on par with makers during the Art Deco/ Art Moderne periods like Virden. Moe Bridges, Lincoln, Miller, Paramount, Beller, General Electric and other high quality companies. This piece is likely close to 80- 90 years old and displays beautifully! Very different from the usual pinks. Very rich looking. It is set on a cream background. It measures 10 1/2" in diameter and stands approx 3" tall including the porcelain socket extenders. This is ceiling mount or flush mount type of fixture.
