The frame is made of high-quality processed brass, which is for his age in a very good condition. The chandelier is arrange in two tiers. The first crystal is a rose cut crystal with a dropper crystal underneath and measures approximately overall 8" outside diameter and a drop of 9" excluding the chains. All of the crystals appear to original and in place with none missing. The crystals also appear to be in good order. however some of the tips have tiny chips to them you have to look really close and I am not sure if this was made in manufactureWhat would seem to be the original 3 hook ceiling rose is present. The bands are made of brass and the top band has a flower and leaf motif running around the circumference. The top band has 5 ... morebrass leave coming off the top of the ring. Each of these leaves has again a two part dropper as above, again in good order. The brass work does show signs of tarnishing due to the age of the item. A very elegant late Victorian bag chandelier displaying a combination of 141 octagonal buttons. Losenge droplets and one base rosette. A superior quality chandelier. With a solid brass hoop frame displaying classical foliate decoration, and a corona of six droplets suspended from the hoop. With a total drop of just over one foot. It is large enough to sit comfortably below a 40-50 inch wide ceiling rose, in any medium sized room. Measures 10 inches wide at the top. Catches the light beautifully and throws around spectrum coloured patterns. All crystals are in excellent order. One small amount of crazing on minor button the point of the brass link wire hole. It will date to the late 1800s, it came to me through a house clearance here in the South of France, as you can see in my photo's, this chandelier is for candles, as it was originally, in approx the 1920s/1930s it was wired for electricity, but this wiring was so old and distressed. It literally d i solved in my hands. So it has been removed and put back to its original state, I still have some of the old bulb holders and faux candles from the 1920s. We are pleased to offer this stunning. Antique crystal chandelier. This wonderful fixture is French styled and features 4 waterfall tiered sections, two on the top and two on the bottom. The center of the chandelier features an extremely ornate brass/bronze band with large crystals inside the band. The chandelier is 6 light; you will note a couple of the light sockets are missing bulbs, but they all function perfectly. The brass/bronze is absolutely beautiful throught this fixture. It is embossed with delicate and intricate patterns. The same pattern is also found on the original ceiling cover canopy which is also included with the fixture. The chandelier features 12 crystals on the 1st waterfall top section and 24 crystals on the second tier. There are 12 large crystal around the circumference of the chandelier's center band.
