This Mirror is in very nice condition overall. But it does show some wear. There are a few spots where the gold gilt has'chipped' over the years, exposing the gesso underneath. There's also some overall wear to the gold as you can see in the photos. Note than on the left side(as you face the mirror) one of the'leaves' is missing, revealing the wood under it. Doesn't look'bad' but it is visible. This is most likely from the 1920's or 30's, but I could be off a decade on either side; it's definitely an older, early 1900's mirror, and looks very nice, especially considering its age! Antique VICTORIAN MAHOGANY Mirror (Originally from a Dresser) ORIGINAL GLASS
For PICK-UP ONLY. I am selling an ANTIQUE wooden wall mirror that used to be on a dresser or a chest of drawers. It is 41-¼ inches long and 27-¾ inches wide. I think it is made of MAHOGANY(the wood has a reddish tone in a few places where it shows through the finish) I think it is from the VICTORIAN Era. The glass and wood backing look original. You can see shimmering silver specks beneath the surface of the glass. The backing is held on with old flathead screws. The sides, top and bottom of the main wooden structure are joined together with dovetail joints. The raised part of the design(the border, scrolls and“fan” on top) were applied to the front of the main structure. Halfway up on each side, on the outer edges, there are threaded holes where the mirror attached to a dresser. One hole is open. The other hole has a broken off ... morepeg inside. As far as I can tell. Everything is original, including the glass and the wood backing. Again, it was originally on a dresser or chest of drawers. The hanging hardware is pretty old, so I would guess it was converted in the mid-1900s. Along with the silver specks in the mirror, there are a few faint streaks. The outer edges of the wood have the most wear and there are a few shrink cracks. On different areas on the wood, the lacquer is either worn through, darkened or alligatored. Like all antiques. This eighty year old mirror has some age issues and shows normal wear, I will try to describe this mirror as accurately as possible. Please feel free to email me with questions. The mirror is made of wood with a wood and wire trim in a floral motif and a Gesso finish. It is in remarkably good condition given it's age. It is oval in shape and measures overall 42” high by 25 ½” wide. The mirror frame by itself is 31 ½” long by 25 ½” wide. The glass only is 29 ¼” high x 23” wide. The thickness of the wood frame is 1 ¼” I don't know if the glass is original as it looks too new, the glass has no chips or cracks and all the silver is present. There is a metal overlay on the wood backing on parts of this mirror which is almost silver like him composition however I can't be sure it is or isn't silver. The buttons which hold the mirror and place our affixed to the wood backing and are made of brass. This is an interesting antique piece and for its age is still in relatively good condition. Vintage antique Original Venetian Mirror Morano
This is a true and vintage Venetian mirror that is estate fresh. Got this out of a local estate that is one block from Oheka Castle(second largest residence in the US) The mirror measures approximately 19 inches wide and about 31 inches long. There are some condition issues as shown. Bottom right hand piece is missing. And there are a few cracks and chips. Pics tell the story. It is rare to find these antique mirrors at all as they are extremely fragile. To ship, I will have to purchase heavy foam for front and back of mirror. Put into a box and then double box it. Finally say a prayer that it arrives in one piece. Therefore shipping will be $60 in the US.

This Victorian style footed vanity is very old and has the normal wear and tear associated with age. There are some scratches and haziness in the mirror and worn paint around the tray.
