Mirror Beautiful Vintage English Octagonal Oak Framed Beaded Jacobean Beveled Offered here is a beautiful vintage beveled mirror framed in a great oak frame. This piece is from England and is a very nice piece. The wooden frame is in good condtion with no breaks or repairs and just normal surface wear for a piece this age. The frame is good and tight and sturdy and there is a wooden back on the mirror as well. It is octagonal in shape. The mirror itself is beveled. The mirror is not perfect. It does have a fair amount of black speckling to it where the silvering is slightly damaged. So the mirror itself is definately not in mint condition but is in ok condition for it's age. If you are looking for a perfect mirror this one will not work. However. I do think this mirror is still very nice and you really can't notice the issued with ... morethe mirror unless you are looking at it from close up. I tried my best to photograph the surface of the mirror but that is difficult to do. The mirror measures 21 inches across from one side to it's adjacent side. So it is 21 inches tall and 21 inches wide. I've tried to take a number of pictures so that you can judge for yourself it's quality and value. Rare Cheval "Easle" Style Carved Oak Beaded Frame Beveled Mirror From England
This auction is for an older Cheval. Free standing floor type mirror that has an"Easle Style" back with a beveled edge mirror from England. It also has carved"knees" on both of it's legs. Carved trim across the top and the mirror is bordered with"beaded trim" all the way around the outside edge. It say's"Rare" in the title and Rare it is, this is only the second"easle style" cheval mirror I have ever seen in over 13 years of being in this business, we see chavel mirrors time to time but these"easle types" are far and few. I have seen two, and have them both, one is in our guest bedroom. This is a very pretty mirror and unit. This auction is for an older oak frame with Double Beaded Trim on both the outside edge and inside edge of the frame with a beveled edge mirror from England. This is a true wall mirror. It did not come off a dresser. The clarity is good for it's age. It has some small dark spots on the silvering. This is an older mirror, more than likely 80 to 90 years old or older and for it's age& travels it's in good overall condition but it is not Perfect. It's still a wonderful older mirror that would make a Great entry mirror, bathroom mirror, over-the-mantel mirror or hall mirror. No Added S&H charges will be added to the final selling price.
