Antique French Style Gilded Mirror from 1900's
This Mirror is really in great condition. Gilt gesso over wood. It measures 26" high x 38" wide. Some cracking to the gesso but intact. It has a nice dark aged patina. Not much gold loss. The mirror is intact. Back lining of mirror has some water stains to paper. Overall mirror frame has a great antique look. This is a large. Formal French Regence mirror which came from a wealthy estate in Plainview, TX, and was furnished with a receipt from a Dallas antiques dealer, proving the price paid at the time was $3,500 some 50 years ago. The mirror is very heavy and must be moved carefully.but it is not fragile. The only condition issues are very minor and easy to overcome or accept. One is a kind of age spot in the silvering of the right-hand slanting panel.maybe the size of a quarter. One of the French-curve brass pieces near the apex next to the"face" in the top center has a tendency to warp showing a slight potential gap of about a quarter of an inch. A vintage tri-fold vanity mirror. It is in good condition and the mirrors are good too. The mirror panes measure 9 1/2" square. Unfortunately. I cannot tell you a lot about this mirror. My mom had it for many years on her dresser. I assume that it is quite old but I don't know much about it's original. The buyer pays all shipping on this mirror. Most likely mfg in the 1950s or so. Few of the decorative carved wood sections missing there and there but very hard to tell do to paint covering the raw wood edges. I don't know much about this I have not had it long. Antique vintage dresser hand mirror celluloid swirl pattern wood tortoise browns
Collectible vintage hand mirror with a pattern suggesting lacquered wood or perhaps faux tortoise because of the rich colors. The material is a form of plastic- celluloid perhaps. No manufacturer's marks. Most likely made in the U.S. 1940's. The frame and handle are nice and shiny with light scratches from years of wear; overall very nice for its age. Consider displaying it face down so the beautiful frame is visible. The glass mirror. However, is cracked across horizontally. This is a beautiful antique mirror which I have had for 25 years. I am down sizing so I have to sell a lot of my collection. It is 91/2" across the mirror. There was a label on the back which is partially gone and cannot be read. Mirror in Decorative Oyster Shell Frame
Up for bid is this wonderful small oyster mirror that would be a great accent in a cottage or beach house. The exposed mirror around the oyster shells is a square measuring approximately 3 3/4" by 3 3/4" The oyster shells are glued onto the frame. Completed with the shells the whole piece measures approximately 10 3/4" by 10 3/4" It is handmade and a lovely piece and also quite heavy due to the layered shells. Happy bidding!

We found this beautiful old footed mirror at an estate auction. It measures 14 ¼” across and is 1 ¾” high. The edge of the mirror is beveled. It has 5 legs. There are light scratches to the mirror. Silver loss in a few spots around the edge and a little dullness to the mirror surface in the middle. The metal base has some of the gold finish missing around the edges. Other than that. It is both. Appealing& desirable. The classic Art Noveau styling& beautiful young female beauty adds to the appeal. This is an all original piece. It is made of cast metal with a rich& warm bronze patina. The patina brings out& highlights the nice detail of the casting. The beveled mirror is not cracked but it does have some silver loss& a chip on the edge. The mirror appear to be held in with four clips, so it possibly can be replaced. This lovely mirror stands approximately 17" tall. The mirror is about 6" x8" the base is sligthy larger than 4" in diameter. The mirror does pivot on the mirror harps ... morewhich is loose. It does not present a problem& it is secure. This Art Nouveau mirror is an attractive piece of decorative artwork. It is not signed& there are no makers marks present.
