We are pleased to offer this MAGNIFICENT. Antique to older vintage, cheval floor mirror! This"piece of art" is fashioned in the Maison Bagues or Palladio style with strong characteristics and influences of each. The striking frame is gilded iron in bamboo form. The base features 2 front and back legs and a"tied" bamboo cane accent. The top of the frame is gothic style(pointed) arch. The frame pattern extends around the mirrored glass and the arched or pointed top is repeated as well. The mirror has a position adjustment screw on each side. The iron is substantial in diameter and the gilding is exquisite. There is minor and expected patina to the iron on the lower section of the frame. Overall, the piece is in extremely nice condition. It is stunning at every turn. Very unique and very rare offering. The original floor ... moreprotectors are still in place. The back of the mirror glass is a wood veneer. It has warped somewhat over time but it is still in tact. There is a discolored area on the lower section of the veneer backing which indicates that it was wet at some point. The lower right corner reveals a loss of the mirrored finish to the back(photo 9) The glass would be an easy and inexpensive replacement if you so choose. The piece is large. The outer frame is 69" tall and 20" wide. The feet are 16.75" front to back. The mirrored glass section frame is 54" tall and 14.75" wide. The mirror is fixed and does not bread down for shipping. Mirror is in excellent condition. Absolutely gorgeous nautilus trim in corners of mirror is lovely aged verdigris. Cream. Solid wood frame is in very good condition with some slight wear around the edges and one scratch along the bottom. I have not touched this up, but would be happy to do so if you request it. Mirror measures 56"L x 38"W x 2"D, and is extremely heavy, weighs approximately 55 pounds. Gorgeous Vintage Gilt Iron& Brass Rococo Style Floor Standing Mirror Cheval Dolphin Feet click picture to enlarge Ornate gorgeous standing floor mirror in gilded cast iron and brass. top of the frame has beautiful filigree crest in the Renaissance/ Rococo manner. back of the mirror glass is richly finished in tan velvet. Super Dolphin Head feet original mirror has high end wide polished beveled edge. Size- outer frame is 60" inches tall and 24" wide. The feet are 21" front to back. The mirrored glass section frame is 45" tall and 18.50" wide. One of a kind antique piece This piece is heavy and must be picked up. Antique imitation gilted floor to ceiling mirror from mid 1900's
This is a ceiling to wall imitation gilted mirror that was in a house we purchased. The mirror was custom made for the home which was built in the 1930's. we are figuring the date of this mirror is mid 1900's. There is a label on the back that says"from Adolph Thiery. Manufacturer of imitation gilt mouldings ornamented looking flass and pictures frames etc etc N.E. Fourth& Branch St. Philadelphia all kinds of show card frames made to order" those are the exact words. The mirror is in perfect shape but the gilt around the base of the mirror has evident wear. Some of the gold paint is flaking off however, it can easily be fixed. The size of the mirror is 8'3" by 3'6" Because of the size and weight, these are local pick up only.

I absolutely love this mirror! I salvaged this in 2 pieces& it was completely falling apart. With a little TLC. My husband& I were able to bring it back to life: This mirror is probably around 100 years old or more! It is such a pretty ornate carved wood frame…not composite! Mirror glass has beveled edge. There are 2 small areas of the gesso detailing are missing. Mirror frame has been painted in layers of white& creamy white chalk paint. Slightly distressed to show original gold throughout and given a top coat of protective wax. Mirror has some aged glass and shows patina, but as expected with a piece this old! Mirror still has a nice reflection and is in very good condition! This mirror has so much Shabby& Cottage charm and is a definite decorator’s piece!
